Princecraft is not Canadian owned; they are part of Brunswick Corp which owns Mercury Marine along with many other companies.

I think the problem is that most people learned filleting skills with walleye and bass. Pike are not more difficult to fillet; but they require a different technique. The fisherman who complain about pike being boney or difficult to fillet are trying to use walleye technique to fillet a pike. I think that if people either took a bit of time to study the pikes bone structure; or, just search the internet; they could learn to fillet a pike with no more difficulty than filleting a walleye... perhaps some will find it even easier than filleting a walleye.

Was it in the water at the time? Sometimes you need to top it up after putting it in the water because the water cools the air and causes a pressure drop.

I used to run competitively in high school and first year of college. I liked cross country the best. But I ran track and the occasional road race too. I still run once in a while to keep from getting too fat.

Stepping up on my soapbox for a second

You are right, you never know... I caught a bull head on a jitter bug once. I don't think that there are any lures that would only catch one species of fish. If one species will bite it, so will others. If a lure is more appropriate for a specific species it is probably because it is good at getting into the species habitat. I.e. surface lure for large mouth bass because they often feed at the surface; spinner baits are good at getting weeds and other structure so they are good for fish that live in those habitats. -

Yes, I have. I have targeted walleye by slow trolling a small white spinner bait with worm with some success. -
Wiring / electrical help. Fishing related.

I seem to recall reading that there are some items that will not run on an inverter. The electricity from the inverter must not be exactly the same was what you get with your home wiring. -
Trailer Electronics/Break Lights

Princess auto sells testers. The flat four tester is $3.99; I didn't notice if they had a 5 wire tester. If you had a VOA meter you should be able to read voltage on the vehicle and continuity on the trailer. -
Trailer Electronics/Break Lights
John Bacon replied to love2fishhave2work's topic in General Discussion
Just to be clear, are you saying that the break lights on your vehicle don't work? Or, the break lights on the trailer don't work? In a four wire harness the break lights run off the same wires as your turn signals. If you have turn signals on the trailer than I don't think the trailer is the issue if you are not getting break lights. -
I felt it in Markham.

I heard of one being spotted on the ice on Baptiste Lake years ago. -

I too got me brookie streams 20 mins away from my front door!

I think that brown trout are simply a larger species of fish. The world record brown is over 40 lbs vs. 14.5 lbs for brook trout. Not really any different than small mouth bass being bigger than rock bass in the same lake. -
Most residential streets are 66' or 33' from the centre. Bigger roads would require bigger allowances. Even smaller roads may have a larger allowance if expansions is planned in the future. I am not sure if there is any kind of standard.

Len Thomson five-o-diamonds has been one of my most productive lures for pike.

I wouldn't think that humidity or temperature should be a problem... think of the conditions that we fish in.

One of the Boston bombers shot dead !!! NF
John Bacon replied to fishindevil's topic in General Discussion
How do you know that the pictures are real? They could be fake, staged or photo-shopped; how would you be able to verify that they are genuine? The ones published by CNN have more credibility because they usually verify sources; but even then we cannot 100% certain because sometimes they may rush a picture or story to be first. -

How difficult do you think it is to fake the date on a picture or article? -
I think the promotion was probably national; or, at least provincial. I go the same deal when I got the card a few years ago. I understand the frustration on your part though. Considering the circumstances; they should have allowed your 30 day promotion period to start when the only CTC gas bar in your area re-opened.

That would be a Belgian company trying to look Canadian.

30 lbs should be fine for a 10' boat; but I don't think there is any downside to going with more thrust. You can just use a lower power setting if want to slow down. Some extra thrust may come in handy when turning into the wind. I would try to get a motor with a built in Maximizer. That will give you infinitely variable speed and longer battery life. I have good luck with Energizer batteries which are pretty reasonable at Walmart.

My understanding is that polar bear numbers are currently increasing. Although it is likely that global warming may eventually wipe them out.

Are you set on a bass boat? Other designs are better for rough water.
