  1. Karl Kalonka? He likes to fish Baptiste.
  2. I was at Canadian Tire earlier this evening. While checking out, the cute babe at the cash register said "Strip Down, Facing Me". It didn't dawn on me that she was talking about swiping my VISA card. The good news is, bail is not nearly as expensive as I assumed it would be, and I'm already out.
  3. I would prefer not to mention who... but no, it was not those two. I sure that they all get a little creative with their editing. I remember seeing a vidio, I think it may have been posted here, where the reel kept alternating between open face and bait caster during what was supposedly fighting one fish.
  4. Thanks for all the replies. It looks like problem was caused by the filter in the furnace. I haven't had an issue since replacing the filter.
  5. Thanks for your replies. It is the outside unit that is icing up. Can that be caused by a clogged furnace filter as well? If the filter doesn't work I will have the coolent checked.
  6. Elephant is probably your best bet. Pike and bass are plentiful. Walleye are a little harder to come by. Muskie fishing used to be good but the numbers have dwindled since pike were introduced. I haven't had a lot of luck fishing Benior, but I haven't tried it as much as Baptiste or Elephant. I also recommend a trip up the York River into Algonquin; more for the scenery than the fishing.
  7. If it is a fishing show then it may be just for show. I fishing show host made a presentation at a club meeting a few years ago. I did mention that "hook sets" are sometimes filmed at the end of the day with a big muskie lure on. Although I guess it is not really a hook set if there is no fish involved.
  8. My air conditioner was not cooling the house on the week end. I checked in an noticed that it had iced up. I hosed it down to melt the ice and to make sure that the outside was free of dirt. However, whenever I turn it on it almost immediately begins to ice up again. Is this a sign that it is low on coolent? What is the price range of adding coolent and fixing a leak? What is the price range of a new air conditioner for a ~2,000 sq' home? My current unit came new with the house which was built in 2003. I would appreciate any advice you can offer.
  9. So it's okay if he doesn't get caught?
  10. I can't agree with that. If he said that he would hold an item then he should hold it. I don't blame a dealer for not wanting to hold an item without a signed deal or deposit. I just think he should be honest and admit that he is going to sell to the first person to sign.
  11. $50 bucks or so to protect a brand new boat that cost thousands... makes sense to me. I use one for a smaller boat then yours.
  12. A caiman and a caiman lizard are two completely different animals. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Caiman http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Northern_Caiman_Lizard
  13. You are correct. If they are spawning then they are not American eels. They must be lamprey; but not necessarily sea lamprey.
  14. Interest is a business expense regardless of whether you lease or buy. Depending on which class the asset falls into you may actually get a better deduction if you purchase because the deduction is front end loaded... especially if purchase at the end of the year because you 50% of your depreciation in the year regardless of the exact date the you buy.
  15. I think that would require wiping out the fish population of the entire Mississippi watershed to prevent asian carp from getting into the great lakes... if they haven't already. I don't see that happening.
  16. It could be a dragon fly larva; altough it looks a little wide for one. What size was it?
  17. My experience is that most of the small lakes do have fish. However, they may not be the brooktrout that you are after. Try fishing them and see what you find. MNR stocking lists may lead you to a few trout lakes. But nothing is going to replace getting out there and fishing them.
  18. This may be perfectly legal. There is commercial fishing in North America. We shouldn't jump to conclusions.
  19. I have caught Musky on spinner baits. I haven't caught enough to really establish a pattern for colours. I have caught them on white spinner baits and on coloured ones as well.
  20. I had the same bases and similar issue with my old boat. Try hitting the post on the side a couple times before trying to remove it.
  21. If the existing transducer was included with the boat when it was new then it may be tied wrapped to other wires; that is how mine was setup. I had to cut all of the tie wraps before removing the old cable. Don't yank too hard when you remove because you don't know what will come with it.
  22. Do you want to be able to collect your prize if you win? That may be an issue if you win... especially if it is one of the larger prizes. If you know someone in Ontario then you could probably have lottery tickets sent to their address.
  23. Thanks for the info. There is a shad run but I think they will gone by the time I get there. Thanks, I never thought of that.
  24. I will be at a client in Conshohocken, Pennsylvania in May. It is located on the Schuylkill River near Philadelphia. I am hoping to do some fishing while I am there. Does anybody know what fish are available in this area? A Google search indicates that there are brookies, bows, browns, and smallmouth in the river. It is a long river and I will be in lower section near where it flows into the Delaware so I am thinking that smallmouth would be more common than trout in this area.
  25. No, it is the 4 cylinder. I am not sure what the exact mileage is... but I know that it is better than my Jimmy
