The house dog has been bred and cross-bred by humans for thousands of years. They may have the phsiology of carnivores, but are far from it. They have become quite human like over the years, and require a balanced diet just like us. Mine gets table scraps and a good quality dry food containing veggies and chicken. I find it hard to belive that a raw meat diet would provide enough nutrition, but thats just me.

If it really bothers you, get a piece of round steel stock the size of the gap, and cut it the same length as slot the grills fit into.Might be just as cheap to buy an inexpensive universal cooking gril, and cut it up to the size you need.

as FD said, it IS really a matter of preference. I have owned Lowrance and Humminbird, and now prefer Humminbird, but ONLY for thier after sales service which in my area is impeccable. Not really sure about Garmin, other than the GPS they make for cars.

After seeing a friend badly burned by a Naptha stove accident, i will settle for the minimal cons of the propane stove and lantern. I use a 10lb tank and adaptor hose with mine, and have never had a problem with it freezeing. Mind you, i am a fair weather camper only.

I have to agree with Spiel on this one. The price of cork has sky rocketed over the years, and this is most definately a way of saveing production money, and increaseing profit.Personally though, i like the look and feel of split grip rods for most applications. My arsenal is a mixture of both.Split for casting and trolling, full for jigging and drop shoting.The full grip for these last technics, allows me to comfortabley hold the rod in different places so the my arm and hand dont fatigue as quickly.

I understand that they are getting a look around to get better acquainted with thier surroundings. Also the surface water temps are higher, so they may be warming up to help thier digestion.

Drop shoting slammers for smallies. They'll rip the rod right outta your hand if you aren't careful. Trolling flat line for walleye with Mike Rousseau Casting spinnerbaits for anything that bites, especially Pike.
