  4. for a while, the hunt was a tyee. A OFC memberI met on line put me onto one For a couple years, the quest was a 40+ inch Pike, and an OFC member gave me a few pointers on where to look and then there was the walleye, some info on the action spots again produced some fruits similar situations with lakers, and rainbows... next - a channel cat.... then, I think, we're taking saltwater.......... if you are looking for a trophy, no better place for some pointers...

  6. I don't know of a better group to ask, as the photos on this page are a constant source of admiration for me, and the other half. I am camera challenged - if it don't point and shoot, it don't look like a photo when I'm done - and even a lot of those don't, yet I have been tasked with sourcing he next lens for my photo obsessed wife. So here's what we have : a Canon EOS Rebel T3 camera.. we have 3 lenses...55-250 mm, 18-55mm, and a 50 mm. As with most photo buffs, nature, birds and scenery are a constant source of material, so I am looking for something that will get her virtually closer, with crisp detail and (hopefully) not look like a tank cannon when hanging around her neck. Our daughter does synchronised swimming competitively, so we also have needs for indoors, high speed stuff. I realize it is unlikely a single lens will do both so suggestions on either are welcome Price range - 500 give or take thoughts on (her suggestion) EF 17-40mm f/4L USM ? Any input greatly appreciated, Thanks

  10. First boat was a consignment, - made the offer in January, contingent on a water test (which didn't happen until April 15 due to a late windy spring); second was new - dealer wanted the test to make sure everything was right before I drove off with it. No test, no cash - something fishy about that deal, Lots available out there.
  11. some background on it here perhaps? Of note, this article is from 2012 http://blog.geogarage.com/2012/05/google-can-track-ships-at-sea-detailed.html
  12. Have you tried a local, independent TSSA certified HVAC company?. These major chains just don't seem to have the necessary knowledge when it comes to these things.
  13. http://www.farberfinancial.com/insolvency-engagements/crate-marine-sales-limited-et-al Still too knew for even the receiver to share details.
  14. spectacular scenery there MB. As usual a great read - a notable narrative change compared to prior monologues. Very cool path you have chosen to walk for this stage of your personal history - I look forward to the stops along the way. Somehow I suspect one of the next ones may include ice and some greys? Speaking of which - great shot and nice pair of fatties in this shot.
  15. Many happy returns Lew. Kelvin nailed it.
  16. Not really enough detail here to tell for sure, but most reputable lawyers / consultants will provide the original consult for free to determine if they can help you. In your situation, you would have to look into all the fine print. If, somewhere on the internet page or other information you were provided before your meeting it states charges will be incurred and at a specific rate or charge equal to this bill, you owe them. That being said, I suspect he fact they asked you to sign the retainer agreement after the fact, and then presented you the invoice, is indicative they are on less than firm ground if you ignore them Likewise - a $300 bill? A sum that strikes me as designed to be small enough that many people would pay, rather than fight. In the absence of an implied or explicit agreement to pay for the services, I would not pay. Let them try to collect. Mind you - this may result in you having to manage your credit score - which is precisely why many less than honest practitioners select a moderately low dollar value. The cost to contain the damage exceeds the bill. Just as a note in this type of situation - before you talk, share or meet anyone on this type of situation, make sure you have an enforceable signed non disclosure agreement; then ask for a specific fee schedule, signed by the person you will be meeting with. Only then move to the next step. Hope it works out the best for you. BTW - is it fishing related ?
  17. Nevermind wolves - I\d like to see them eradicate the Asian carp - before they destroy our fisheries
  18. Still my all time favourite response to a telemarketer - PG rated. http://youtu.be/-7OgWcwgB50
  19. sweet. Nice percentage
  20. PERFECT. man they learn quick at that age - from lurch to full throttle in no time. Gotta make sure G doesn't see this one or else I'll be making excuses till lakers open
  21. Now that's funny Cliff - quite a few of mine contain words that would get auto corrected here for exactly that reason. At work half of mine have 30 day expire, no repeat requirements,
  22. just replaced my LTXs after 117,000 k. nice quiet ride, and no problems towing in any of the places I went .
