  1. Looks like a stocker, isn't that a clipped pectoral fin ? nice pic
  2. Crankcase oil getting in the cylinder? Unlike a 2 stroke I understand they have to be stored upright or at least a certain side up if laid down..
  3. Ditto, I had a Bimini for my old center console, hated it, only used it in extreme conditions. It negated all the advantages of the center console with all the attachments to the gunnels. If I had it to do over I'd go with a T - top.
  4. Best cookin channel, lots of bacon https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCjrL1ugI6xGqQ7VEyV6aRAg edit : Really like this channel as well https://www.youtube.com/user/hickok45
  5. It was 17 here this morning on the Friendly Scale, don't think it got that low all January

      - 9 @ 7am here in Barrie. Get up to Burks and it was -18. Nice tail wind on the way home.

  7. Bet the Leafs are p'oed , last game tonite and it ain't golfing weather yet.
  8. The market is in the York region, the actual poachers not so much. A large number of persons buying these fish and such from markets and other shady middlemen are probably unaware they are illegal.
  9. A large portion of this is driven by our multicultural society. We need more education, especially among those who neither hunt or fish and never have read fish and game regulations, maybe full page notices in ethnic newspapers, I don't know
  10. They stopped making them a couple of years ago so they are holding value well if in good shape. Back then ( early 80's ) I lusted after the same hull but done up as a centre console as the MR 220 V, but settled for an 18 centre console with the Sylvan moniker on the side, was garageable and kept at the ready here a stone's throw from the launch ramp
  11. The big guys have their offshore accounts and on the other end of the wage scale there is a booming tax free underground economy bartering stuff and doing odd jobs among trades people in their spare time. Pot calling the kettle black.
  12. When I lived at Long Point years ago, the party boats that drifted the sandy bottomed Inner Bay for smallies would often drag a piece of chain to stir up the bottom to attract fish, not sure if it attracted minnows that in turn attracted the bass or it directly attracted the bass but much the same principle.
  13. I've been using these as my prescription frames for over 10 years, polarized magnetic clipons included , fit real tight, you would not guess I was wearing clipons, works for me and not overly expensive. http://www.easyclip.com/
  14. Wife just commented that Reimer had 29 saves for his 3rd shutout in 9 games.
  15. I was a bachelor till a few months shy of 50, had a second bedroom that looked almost identical to that. 15 years later except for both our desktop computers it has been taken over with knitting , crocheting and other crafts. Just saying Dave.
  16. Go big or go home As a forester I thought this was a little over the top.
  17. the gun show is at the same venue this weekend , April 10th , maybe you could find him there. Yes very ignorant on the part of bassmasters.
  18. This is the year to do it, by the sounds of things Encarcion and Bautista may be off to teams with deeper pockets next year.
  19. I'm not a musky fisherman but other than really small stuff I've always pumped decent sized fish in during my nearly 60 years of angling, always viewed simply cranking as a sign of a noob especially while the drag is slipping, what is the reasoning behind reeling and not pumping fighting a musky?
  20. Looks good . When I worked in waste water treatment in a steel mill I had similar hands, used Bag Balm from TSC and it worked good too. We had what they called a barrier cream at work that you put on before work that helped too.
  21. According to Lorne Green, some oldtimers will recognize the name, the Fenwick Riggersticks of the 80's and quite well thought of as a downrigger rod were simply Fenwick 9 foot 10 weight fibreglass fly rod blanks built as a downrigger rod. I built lots of them for myself and friends back then. If you could find a 10 weight flyrod blank in pink maybe you could have it built as a riggerstick, just a thought. If you go to mudhole.com you can search for pink blanks but I see nothing that I would recommend as a riggerstick.
  22. I would have liked to see how they land 200 pounders off those rocks.
  23. Got some Dutch on old vinyl. I had a nice chat with Jack De Keyser when he was playing a bar in town here quite a while back on Canadian Blues musicians and he said Dutch's son was also a musician and quite the harp player. Jack was always a treat to go see, another unsung Canadian LEGEND.
  24. Doesn't look like it would be road legal but load it up with decoys and it would be a dandy back country duck boat for beaver ponds and such if you got an ATV.
  25. I get quite a few lakers mixed in with browns shore casting , I'd work the shore for them this time of year. Still mud next to shore but clearing with a distinct break maybe 1/4 mile out, I'd be working the edge of the break, can see the lake from the end of my driveway.
