  1. Wore a LG hat for about 20 years LOL. Starting getting supplies from him in the late '70's , he was still working out of the basement of his house and a 17 foot Boston Whaler in the drive
  2. got that T shirt on precision trolling. Back in '82 I bought a 18 foot centre console , had a OMC 90 V4 and a 9.9 hung on a bracket with an EZ Steer bracket to tie them together. Next to the paper graph I had a Pelican sailboat knotmeter and a paddle wheel on the stern for speed control, that was a hot setup back in those days.
  3. If you need to go that slow, why would you not kill the big motor and troll with the "trolling motor" , such a logical idea
  4. Grimsby Tackle is having some big sales right now and they do a lot of installations and setups, quite knowledgeable
  5. 5 weight for trout and 7 for smallmouth bass would be my pick, I use heavier for largies
  6. Wife's PC with integrated video just wasn't up to par running a new game she got, so we got one of these with a dedicated video card. Awesome speed with a full terrabyte SSD and I7 , was impressed enough to get one for our daughter as well . You'll pay a lot more for less buying new plus it doesn't come loaded with a bunch of crapware https://www.bestbuy.ca/en-ca/product/refurbished-good-dell-precision-t1700-tower-gaming-desktop-computer-pc-core-i7-4770-4th-gen-16gb-ram-1tb-ssd-rx-550-windows-10-pro-intel-processor-black/17194415
  7. Finally someone worthy and seeming forgotten get inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame , it was beginning to be a joke with the rap and other crap being inducted . Considering he first did this in 1958 , he was way ahead of his time
  8. My dad was a member for a lot of years , maybe someone here could help https://www.niagarawoodcarvers.com/
  9. Browns could be included in that as well
  10. This guy was touring with Buddy Holly and Ritchie Valens in '59 and can still pull it off where most old rockers would be a joke in their 80's
  11. Luhr Jensen Fireplugs were a favourite of mine behind a smaller Cow Bell when we didn't have real meat behind.
  12. About the same experience as Crowman, stopped to cast where the river empties in Gull Lake on the way back from the cottage , May 24th weekend 1976 perhaps. Caught a nice Bow about 4 pounds and big OOS Smallie that was probably bigger.
  13. gives a part number , looks like the same issue
  14. Old tire works well, no rim of course
  15. Looks light a rebranded Mighty Mite " Neptune " from around 1950's, if that helps
  16. saw this on a friend's FB page edit : didn't see it under the fishing discussion
  17. I use the IVO Blademaster knives, they were rebranded under the President's Choice label years ago at a better price, very happy with them , sharpen them regular with a Spyderco ceramic system I've had since the late 70's. Also available on Amazon https://www.ivocutlery.ca/collections/blademaster
  18. He did win the first trial, the Crown was not happy with that result so the Crown appealed and 2 trials later get their guilty verdict, no double jeopardy in Canada. Can't have citizens protecting their property
  19. Been following this case since day one, that photo could bite you in court
  20. The name Walleye didn't become common here till we started watching American fishing shows. Never heard it before about 1970.
