  1. Are you using Internet Explorer 11, think I had probs with copy and paste with it?
  2. I agree, this plan is no help at all in case of a majour illness with high drug costs that could financially ruin you. I'd much rather have a plan where I paid a deductable and insurance anything over. This is akin to auto insurance that would only pay 5G if you new vehicle was a write off or 10G if your house burned to the ground. There is some relief at 65, which I just hit, the government takes on a lot of your drug costs.
  3. Somewhat rural area too, not in town, I suspect there was a buddy parked nearby that dropped him off waiting for him to leave with the truck .
  4. You could pay almost that much for an Argo, that thing could crush an Argo.
  5. Kadri??? trade him for some one that isn't a spoiled brat.
  6. Congratulations on your good health Oggie. Scares me to imagine losing my retirement health benefits that I earned working 30 some years. I'm guessing $500 probably more a month would be my wife's and I break even point since I retired, for dental , drugs , vision care. Last month we got a CPAP machine , $1200 and no cost to us between the Government Assistive Devices Program and our benefits insurance. I wouldn't take a chance on losing our home just to stay alive.
  7. Lupul, as long as he can stay healthy, mature and well spoken individual.
  8. WOW, no salary retention, bonus

Ah potato pancakes made in a big cast iron fry pan, with applesauce.

  10. The politics around this and the attitude of the police are as much to blame as the individual charged in letting the situation escalate to the point were citizens take the law into their own hands. This article of a few years ago shows the extent of the problem in this area with numbers that those not local to the problem will probably be shocked at. http://www.thespec.com/news-story/2250679-city-s-car-theft-crown-tied-to-six-nations/
  11. I didn't think the free offer was available to XP users, but I upgraded this laptop to 10 from 8 and works great even the new browser "Edge" works better the Internet Explorer, quote function works on this forum
  12. Walleye too https://www.in-depthoutdoors.com/community/forums/topic/walleye_67523/
  13. Thought it was an Italian pike last year this page says it is the Italian record http://www.luckylures.nl/esox_lucius_record.php
  14. It is unfortunate, but the restoration of a native, once numerous species is an easier sell to the non fishing public and will bring in donation dollars from outfits not even related to sports fishing. It's a great story to say hey look we're bringing back Lake Ontario to the days of old, without the myth of Atlantic Salmon Restoration a lot of good work on habitat restoration would not be possible .
  15. Launch at Crystal Beach is open, guys are talking about going perch fishing off Point Abino.
  16. 44 F here again at 6 am, lake is clear usually the pier is buried under windblown chunks by now

  17. 5 am 44F and raining, spring has sprung

So long ice fishing. I was telling Chris today, I don't think I'll get out for lake trout this year. :(

  18. another Motor City 1967 , think it was Lightfoot's first US hit <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/DPXL3iEVnCM"frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
  19. Between the progressive bifocals, hearing loss, tinnitus and hearing aids all this high definition audio / video stuff is lost on me, born 40 years too late. Well I did have pretty good stereo setups in the 70's to 90's.
  20. I've done up a couple of spinning rods on fly rod blanks when I've wanted a slower action rod for lighter lines and casting fragile live baits. They were longer than 7 foot though but an action more of what you are looking for .
  21. Here we have the Grimsby Benevolent Fund, they have a well run store with prices you would expect on donated goods to help lower income families. If living nearby you might want to check it out.
  22. FWIW I went to the Henley Boat webpage as I noted they were the Manufacturer, they are on Manitoulin Island , very interesting, they make all manner of welded aluminum boats from 18 foot recreational/ workboats up to the size of the " Maid of the Mist III " and ferries.
  23. About right, think it was 74 I bought a 7 foot Hardy JET 4 weight , a 4 weight Marquis and a 4 weight DT for a 100 bucks I recall , when Eddie Bauer had a store on Bloor between University and Bay and when they sold guns and fishing tackle before turning into a yuppie clothing store. LL Bean, Columbia and Abercrombie and Fitch has all gone the same route as well
  24. I always had confidence buying electronics at Costco. They extend the manufacturers warranty to 2 years, 90 day return and the couple of times I've used their 1-800 Geek service I got a knowledgeable guy, living in Ontario and English was his first language. One time it was a defective unit another was operator error . http://www.costco.ca/concierge.html
  25. X2 I first met Paul James at a local outdoor festival here in town he was playing at. Back maybe 2002, it was Aug 17th , the day of Elvis' passing and he did a Elvis set, the early rockabilly stuff not the later crooner, white jump suit , type crap, Rockabilly is right up Paul's alley, it was excellent. What really blew me away was when he sent everyone off stage except the bass player, he grabbed an acoustic guitar and the bass player a standup bass and he did an early Bob Dylan set, outstanding , he even could pass for Bob onstage the resemblance was uncanny. Come to find out he has been friends with Dylan for a long time and guests onstage with him on occasion when Dylan has a concert date in southern Ontario.
