  1. 10 km on a GT, that's pretty funny. Off topic, but those things were well made. I still have a larger size GT. We've had 2 guys on the BR and a third guy towed on the GT into back lakes. Towed a GT behind a boat too. Looks like a beauty day out there (aside from the slush), short sleeves, sun and a couple nice bows. Were the fish up top, just under the ice?
  2. I thought we are on the Cronzy Diet, all pickerel
  3. I've had good results with tomatoes, zucchini, cucumbers and hot peppers. I can't seem to do well with sweet bell peppers. Pumpkins will creep and spread all over the place.
  4. I'm an all year round BBQer and definitely going to try this, likely tomorrow night. I've bought poor quality steaks and left them in the fridge for a week to 10 days until they have a slight grey/ green tinge. This helps too.
  5. That's nothing out of the ordinary here in Jokeville Ontario
  6. There could be something to this. Talking to my CO on the ice, it seems there aren't many larger lakers being caught. If they're analyzing data and being proactive, I'm all for it.
  7. I'm stuck in the city pulling my hair out. Took the dog for a walk this sunny afternoon and said to my wife "damn, I bet the saps flowing" Enjoy it Shane, a great time of the year, post some pics
  8. Ya, I hear ya Erich. Wind is only good for sailors, to dry my clothes, or keep the mosquitoes away. I'm guessing you still had fun though.
  9. Nice write up Bain, sounds like a fun day. Yeah, the season is winding down but there's still some warm, sunny days left to enjoy out on the ice. Oh, a new brand of antifreeze!
  10. Great way to cap off the day with that fat pic!
  11. You're not going to go through much gas with that little outboard so it might be a good idea to run seafoam all the time, can't hurt, only help, it won't be smokey, premium, no ethanol gas for sure I'm far from an expert but have had outboards all my life, I'm close in Oakville if you want to bring it by and we'll run it in a barrel and check it out, I promise I won't try to steal it
  12. Before I bought my used pontoon, I was looking at a new one with a 40hp Suzuki 4 stroke. I researched it and liked what I was hearing. I would buy a Suzuki. I didn't buy it because I cheaped out and went for a used boat.
  13. I thought of this post not too long ago. Heading to work a couple weeks ago, very snowy morning, at daybreak, I came up behind a white Halton Region Police Crown Vic interceptor, covered in snow with no tail lights on. A waste of time, but good too hear the stupidity stopped and you didn't have to pay.
  14. Nice outing! Looks like those lakers are more into eating insects rather than fish. I bet they taste a lot better than usual greasers.
  15. Some ups and downs but the ups look great! Those nice pictures make me look forward to spring
  16. exactly, home schooling is the only option, you guys doing that?
  17. yeah, likely a pedophile too, let's get our pitch forks
  18. It would be built in fuel tank. We put a 9.9 on a 10' sportspal with a tiller extension handle thing so you could sit in the middle, and slowly took it up to WOT. It went like a dart, but revved out. A bigger pitch prop would have been interesting.
  19. Hey, I love you guys, the new generation of OFC, keep posting, you guys rock we're just trying to help
  20. yeah, like Wayne, said, use those thin skis to cut through the snow, get the bulk up above, I would put the pelican sled 16" above with the widest possible ski stance
  21. So is it you that's the teacher Chris or your partner? You seem to stand up for them at every opportunity. Mike got what I was getting at.... all that matters in my books. Someone has influenced this child, at 10 years of age, to go this way in her thoughts.... but like everyone else (including myself) has stated Mike has got to let it play out (while he hide's in the corner). yes, it's my partner Steven (Steven and Chris), he teaches Art and Music. I don't think there's influence, it's a strong young girl who says and does what she feels out of her passion on the topic.
  22. Dude, I politely disagree. This is obviously something she strongly believes in. What you wrote disturbs me to be honest. I'm a bit of a tree hugger. I eat everything though. Sorry Bud, I don't think you should have made her change the topic for her speech. She's obviously passionate about it. If a kid is happy, sociable, motivated, that's all that really counts. I hope I'm still welcome in your boat Lew, I seem to agree with stuff you say, wanna go fishing some time?
  23. I am on EI on occasion, it still doesn't help me, the system sucks IMO I inquired if I could not pay EI premiums and not qualify for EI, of course this isn't an option
  24. Rugged country up there Bunk. Fishing is great but working up a sweat hiking, snowshoeing, or x- country skiing is good for the mind, body and soul. You ever read Hap Wilson's books? I guess Otter trail???
  25. Damn! I wish I could have made it out with you guys. Good weather and 2 lines per guy, with some set lines spread around is a blast when you're running after tip- ups Good read, I'm envious. Where's the usual antifreeze picture?
