  1. Well I might of got ahead of myself saying 5-6hours, I'm not 100% positive. but no more than 8 hours for sure, I know that because I fish all day, charge them at night after fishing, sleep 7-8hours and they are ready for the morning. I got basically the same as the add I linked above but it is a "Guest". Boatman is right I just looked at mine again it is 20amp but only 10amps per battery when they are both hooked up then it automatically trickles near the end, slower charge the better for deep cell.(trolling batteries) And they say you should never run you batteries completely till there dead either, but I have and the charger still charged them in 7-8h, cause they have always been ready in the morning after a day of fishing. But if you have days where you don't have 7-8 hours to wait then a extra set of batteries would come in handy.
  2. That's a fatty, nice job. You got a pic of your dads to show us ? That's a nasty lamprey mark, wonder if it will live.
  3. Very nice fish. EWWWWW ugly, but those lamprey do look like sweet walleye bait, and big ones would be good for pike/musky I imagine. I love herons, never seen a Albino one that would have been interesting.
  4. It all depends on what charger you get, some charge faster than others, I think mine goes at 20a, than 10a at half way and then trickles at 2a for the last 10%. I would get a good on-board charger they work just as good out of the boat but you always have the option to hook it up in your boat if you have a plug where you park your boat. I got a guest 20 amp 2 bank charger, charges both my batteries from dead in about 5-6 hours and then automatically stays on trickle untill you turn the charger off. here's a good deal on here, that would charge 2 batteries overnight no problem. 5. Cliff I didn't know you are a rapper too.
  6. Very nice, great pic. 2 more weeks for me, can't wait.
  7. Way to go urban, nice fish, go team #10.
  8. I got to wait a couple more weeks still. Good luck Lew, have a good one.
  9. Congrats for releasing the walleye, that's a rare occasion on it's own not many would have, especially a PB. How the heck did you get it to pose so nicely for you ? she had her gills and fins flaired out perfectly.
  10. Haha, I got into a snot rocket festival yesterday just like that while wally fishing, but I didn't leave the spot cause it was still fun. Nice fish.
  11. Wow, I remember his dream house post and had no idea he was sick, he seemed like a great man I wish I had the chance to meet him. I hope the best for you Lew and his family as well.
  12. True.
  13. This is pretty much what I use. Bass, walleye, 15-20lbs. Pike, 30- 40lbs, haven't had any break offs. Musky 100-130lbs, mostly to prevent break offs with huge expensive lures and can kill the fish. And muskies are a different world all together I would up the PP to 80-100lbs as well, it all just fits together with the big reels, lures, heavy weights etc... For length I usually go 2-4' for casting and 5-8' for trolling works good for me.
  14. I like using a jig for the drop weight, might as well, unless you want the bait just above the weeds. I was drop shotting using a 1/2-1oz jig with a wormharness last year and just letting the current do the work, it's a great technique for small current areas, just anchor, cast it out and wait, it worked great and I'll be using way more this year. I like to use a swivel so the hook or harness above the weight/jig can slide an I use the improved clinch for everything.
  15. US laws, not sure if there the same but I think they are.
  16. I use the improved clinch for everything to, lol, I didn't even know what it was called until I just looked at that site. Even tying leaders I just use it twice back to back, it never fails and works great with braid to. The funny thing is no one ever taught me any knots, I use to sit around and just make different knots until I found that one, now it's all I use.
  17. Cool shots and story Moose, I'm sure the big pike won't hide from you for to long.
  18. Very nice Raf, some sweet fish already and just getting started.
  19. Good job bud. I agree though, they have to be caught red handed with the evidence unless you had video evidence. But if you stopped/scared them from thinking of doing it again than that is a good start.
  20. I'm sure the wife will still have a daily check list of jobs to do under the magnet on the fridge every morning. Try to get out in the morning before she wakes up and sneak out quietly. Have a blast Wayne.
  21. I don't go by time of year or weather when using top waters, but presentation, if I want to fish 2-5 feet of water than I will use them, if I want to stay over top of thick weeds I use them. If you read the magazines from years back and each year to this date, they contradict everything they say all the time, lol . So basically if you read every magazine and article ever written, and listened to every pro and all the movies you will find that everything works, but according to the media one year it works the next it doesn't or they just find somthing else to write about (new) I think it's getting out of control, it's just fishing not rocket science, you don't have to be a marine biologist from Yale to be a good fisherman but it seems like it these days. Sorry for the little rant. If you put enough hours in on the water you just start to understand the fish better and that's what it's all about. EXEPT FOR THE OFC EMAG THATS THE ONLY 100% ACCURATE MAGAZINE OUT THERE. Keep a look out for my mag coming early 2008, it's called EVERYTHING WORKS at the write time and write spot.
  22. The only other guy I know who made as much profit as the oil companies was Tony Yayo in Scare Face.
