  1. Nice report Phil, couldn't of asked for a nicer weekend, maybe if there was a little more wind and clouds the big girls might have came out.
  2. We went out and looked in some shallow back bay's the other day and didn't see any Pike, but they are around.
  3. Yup, I never did like that hole. Well it turned out O.K. for you anyway, good thing you didn't go in for a drink.
  4. Oh man, lol, I think that might be my new avatar Terry.
  5. Not trying to kick a dead horse here, but with a river this small you could clear out the fish in one day and ruin a fishery, that's why our town try's are hardest to protect the fish while there spawning. The spawn only lasts around a week, if the weathers consistent, so we got locals that take shifts watching the fish day and night, so far so good. If they make it through the spawn, it only gets better each year, but you can literally ruin a fishery in one day if people kill spawning fish, we have been lucky so far.
  6. Well, I don't know if they'll compete with the fall Quint walleye numbers, but the Bay has some giant walleyes to, just harder to find.
  7. I noticed the first set of Walleyes come in a few days ago and I wanted to get some nice pictures so I went back today and they are in full spawn mode. I seen some of the biggest walleye I've ever seen and the females out numbered the males, it surprised me, I wasn't expecting the size of these and great numbers to. These fish were originally stocked fish but they haven't stocked any in around 10 or more years. These pics are taken from a creek around 100 yards long and no more than 15' wide at the widest spot. The pics were hard to get clear because they are in heavy current and rapid areas, but I think I got a couple nice ones. Don't overlook any creeks on opening day, lol...You might get into a few of these. It's hard to tell in the pics but there were many fish over 30" and one or two that will have me dreaming until May 1st and the rest of my life. I seen the biggest Walleye of my life, but the pic didn't turn out, she had about a dozen males trying to get a piece, so you could hardly see her.
  8. Very nice Buck, big clean fish. Wow that water is clear, looks like Georgian Bay most days.
  9. To long. Let's just say it's easier to catch them than it is to prep and cook a nice meal. I don't keep them anymore unless they are serious jumbos.
  10. Haha, I can picture it pulling you around in the kayak. Nice looking carp, if that's possible.
  11. AHHH, no entry for us. Don't worry you'll get us another one.
  12. Glad the boats workin for ya, nice fish.
  13. Nice job.
  14. Is that the same guy with all the fish ? must be the lucky mustache. Very nice fish, looks like he had them figured out.
  15. I just simply have a in-line 50amp manual circuit breaker hooked on the positive lead and than the breaker is hooked directly onto the battery, works great it has saved my motor twice already and you just hit the little button on the breaker to rest it if it blows.
  16. That's one h@ll of a specky your dad got, nice job.
  17. You fall into a barrel of boobs and come up sucking your thumb.
  18. I Agree. Would they have done this if you didn't publicly give negative feedback ? I've never had a problem at BP, just saying. Gotta love the net.
  19. You know, I agree the Walleies got a hard life being on the best tasting list. I don't target bass to often, but I do like the smallies over 3 or 4 lbs, could be a fun day on the water when the schools reach 4 or 5lbs averages. The little guys tick me off, snatching my bait all day.
  20. I dream of the musky that eat the carp.
  21. Man, I wish those things spawned in the fall, I pay $5 a piece for them in October for musky bait. lol. No good in the spring.
  22. I usually drift or troll slow as possible a worm harness with minnow that time of year (depends how warm the water is) once I find a fish I'll stop and cast jigs tipped with a minnow and a stinger hook will increase your hook ups, if I get another one with a jig I stay and cover the area. I find they are the most aggressive at this time of year and will usually eat plastic all the same if you like that, crank baits, small spoons, small in-line spinners, jerk baits and even top waters have worked for me in May but a minnow is my go to spring and fall summer worms and leeches..
  23. Cool, I like the Rhino VS. L ion, but the Lion looks to be in a little trouble.
  24. Anyone see the SUN today. He did have the best in game dunk of all time though during the Olympics when he went over top of this 7'2" Frenchman and he gave him the Arabian Goggles at the same time.
  25. The friendly Giants, smart to.
