Get yourself a mylar cooking bag, comes in a pack of 2. add a couple of peeled/sliced apples and onions inside the cavity. A little bit of Thyme and Chicken seasoning(or whatever you like for spice) on the outside. Then put the bird in the bag, punch holes as indicated and follow the rest of the instructions. Cook at a slower rate than regular domestic fowl, no more than 275F, however add about an hour cook time. I did one for the guys at work, meat was fall off the bone tender and moist.

I'm betting one thing that almost everyone forgets to do in the fall(those that drain everything) is to drain the hose and all other fuel lines under the cowl. Leave gas in there for 6 months and I'm thinking ugly things happening in there, and then first thing in the spring, you pump that into the carbs...yech.

As much as it doesn't sound right, I use the slightly larger see through filters from Princess Auto instead of the crazy priced OEM dinky little Honda gas filters. If anything gets trapped, I can see it, and for the price they get changed on a yearly basis. If the intank sock(filter) is plugged, undo the fule line at the tank and gently insert a Robertson tip screwdriver against the ball bearing on the tank fitting. Any fuel left in the line will run down and backflush crud around the sock.

The hoses have been approved since at least 1996 for up to 10% ethanol. Seafoam yes, did you actually see how hard it is to get the gas to flow through the filter?

All I can add is that if you do use them, don't go with the cheap barrel swivels, get the bearing type. They turn much smoother unlike barrel swivels which under stress can lock in place and then twist. Brands like Sampo or Spro are probably the best. As for the other end, coastlock, crosslock or duo lock are all fine wit me. For those that are a little visually impaired, the "No knot fast snaps" are great for attaching small hooks.

The pictures come from his boat, the or/wh is positive so I really don't know how you can get a positive and negative out of one wire that goes into and out of a simple switch. The negative is the black wire as shown in the horn picture.

Go back and look at the pictures, the or/wh (orange/white stripe)wire goes to either side of the switch, it's positive. The other wire to the horn is black as per the picture, it's negative. Mechanic eh.

Anadromous indicates being in "sea" water or salt as opposed to freshwater, therefore what we have in the Great Lakes is not a Steelhead trout but rather a Potamodromous. Okay, the horn works 100%, you tested it directly to the battery. The only thing that switch does is close the circuit, just like a common light switch in a house. Find out where the or/wh wire comes from under the dash and what it's hooked to for a power source. There's another wire on the other side of the horn, ( you need 2 to make it work) ones + the other -, I'm highly suspecting the or/wh is +positive. Find out where the other wire from the horn goes, most likely a common ground point(buss bar) under the dash. Somewhere under there is a failed connection, the actual connector may be tight however the wire is not making contact at the connector. There's no other way around it.

I find it kind of funny at times that people expect things to devalue to the amount they are willing to pay. Don't like the asking price and can't get satisfaction with a bargaining session, c'est la vie. I remember some prospective buyers(not OFNers) moaning about the price of a piece of equipment (ARGO) I had for sale, the right guy came along and paid very close to the asking price, others lost out on a very reasonable deal. Again, c'est la vie.

In part two you have pretty much nailed it, some tribs have their boundary at the very edge of the lake into which they flow, others have a denoted marker, such as a railway bridge, an erected post with the info displayed etc.

I was in West Marine and they have the Garmin 76Cx on sale, I know, old model. The fellow there indicated that I would need to buy the chips that have the lake maps, specifically Simcoe and Georgian Bay what I want. So, is there a place that sells these individually rather than the whole bunch that I'll never use for a price that's more than the GPS. I'm interested in that model as it has 12V DC capability for the boat, don't have to rely on batteries. Thanks.

Related to Rip van Winkle are you, slept over it all winter.. Now supposing there was water in them there hubs and bearings, what do you think it did all winter? A little bit of water and iron makes ferrous oxide, a.k.a rust. That rust will also attack the spindles and kinda screw things up there too. If you do them in the fall, you may save the bearings, and best of all, be ready to go in the spring when the Robins a bobbin' but your bobber ain't 'cause your trailers broke. As for bearing buddies, everyone has their opinion on them.
