  1. Stiff diaphram won't allow the little metal tip on the diaphram to activate the needle valve and allow enough gas to flow.
  2. Yes and part of that loophole is that you have to be engaged in the farm work/trapping/etc. Can't find it right now but certain agencies like emergency jobs are exempt from the 2 up rules when using them for "work" too.
  3. I take it then that you will "usually" pay the other guys ticket.. It looks like the 2UP factory models, after market adaptations and side x sides are not on the near horizon for MTO to give them any sort of approval. Word has it there's just no "real" standard for them and until that happens, you may as well use what works. Hypothetically, if they were completely outlawed, then what do you do? Cry to the salesman or the company that built them. Good luck buttercup. Oh on edit, I didn't mean Sinkers a buttercup
  4. Well I'm betting that it's definitely NOT the DQ. I know Teds Range Rd Diner, but that's off 26.
  5. Jeez, I gave you link with the answer direct from MTO, "A two-up ATV is prohibited from provincial highways and municipal roads, even if the driver is not carrying a passenger".
  6. A sad moment, may the good memories carry you forward.
  7. Well then they have finally listened to the multitudes that complained. I still won't buy anything from them again. I got threaded once too often by them.
  8. You could also make like Rumpelstiltskin and stomp a hole in the ice..
  9. Before you go and buy anything, do some research, that way we won't have to mop up the river of tears afterwards. 2up ATVs are not legal for road use even if it's the driver only driving. Side by side can't be used there either, they are too wide and too heavy to fall under the ATV definition. Some clubs don't allow their use either. If you are using them on your own land, fine amuse yourself. Here's some reading. http://www.mto.gov.on.ca/english/pubs/atv/two-up-ATVs.shtml
  10. One important point, who does servicing for these units in Canada, hmmm, ya have to send them back to the US and wait til they rape you for shipping and handling. They absolutely won't do anything other than UPS and we all know how nice they are.
  11. That is pretty much a waste of time, electricity, internet space and moments you can't reverse and get useful time back.
  12. I found another good stand by is the ranch flavoured chip dip from Frito Lay, great for fried perch finger food.
  13. I was out this morning from 715 to 10, lots of ice, slick like pike snot, bring cleats or wear golf shoes. The bite was non stop, caught over a hundred, kept 20 for supper. There's a little bump at the shoreline, the rest is okay.
  14. Nice to know the actual consumption figures. I'm hoping the LEDs will come down in price.
  15. The rod may be from around the late '50's to early 60's or so. My dad and I both had one, there were interchangeable end pieces to make either a fly rod or spinning rod. If I'm not mistaken ours were bought at the Stedmans in Ajax for around $10.
  16. Just don't be showing up with Tony and the 400 excavator and have an "accident" where "someone" might get buried for not paying his bill.
  17. X2 what Lew said, especially the part about lifes priorities.
  18. Oh, Amen on that one, big time! It's called laziness.
  19. Careful at Billy Goat Hill, good luck.
  20. I know it's still roughly 4 weeks away and a lot can happen in between weather wise, but, what if the general lake area of Innisfil Beach Park does not freeze to accomodate the event? The long range forecast just seems to hover around the freezing mark, nothing that will really make good ice. Is there a thought about moving further south on the lake, what about event staging area and parking? Just throwing it out there for the possibilities. Hopefully all goes as planned.
  21. Well after reading 5 pages a couple times and biting my tongue a few times, one thing can be gleaned for sure. For the many it takes to build up a good relationship with the general public, it only takes one to throw the proverbial wrench into the equation. And they wonder why the public views them with dismay more and more. The fortunate thing, they're not all bad, hopefully we get to interact with the sane ones.
  22. It's amazing to see the lack of intelligence or common sense or whatever you want to call it. Unfortunately another one that didn't get hit by the spermacide.
  23. I think the formula is more like, the underground diameter of the rootball is very similar to the diameter of the longest branches from the trunk. Maples have a larger diameter rootball than pines.
  24. Everyone has their opinions on which suit fits them the best, which one isn't so stiff, or which one doesn't keep the pharts in. Why not go and try them on yourself and then you will know for sure.
  25. Nice catch. Any hiccups jumping the crack close to shore?
