  1. My hovel is 2,000 sq upper and lower and I'm sure mines no more than a 60,000 btu 95% energy efficient with DC motor. The use of gas dropped by about 30%. We paid a couple pennies more than $3,000, labour, tax and furnace included and then got back a bunch from the government. That was just over 3 years ago.
  2. Hahahahaha, apparantely the first doofus went through all by himself, how unfortunate, not inviting any friends.
  3. Baaaaaa, baaaaaa , black sheep. Park really close to the other guy too, hate to see just one go down.
  4. I hate websites that advertise like mad but don't tell you where it is.
  5. The only way you would get any condensation in the house from propane/ng is if you have a bad heat exchanger. If that was the case you would die from CO poisoning in short order.
  6. Go to the south end of the bay, bring some reasonable sized minnows or frozen sardines, set up some dead stick lines and have patience Grasshopper
  7. Someone from one of the "other boards" found the sunflower heaters on sale at Costco New Market for $19, ya your reading right, $19.
  8. 5lb tank is also a good choice, easy to refill and cheaper than the 1 lb landfill bombs.
  9. Funny thing I heard this morning, some down south neighbour got right offended when we said if you don't buy it, the Orient will. The neighbour said that wasn't very neighbourly. Hey,it's business, don't tell us what to do with our stuff.
  10. Why not just put a net out there or lob in a couple CIL wobblers. It's like usig a machine gun for hunting.
  11. Read between my lines a bit, I don't like the idea of a foreign company coming here under the auspicies of making something and then we find out it's not that at all. Come here and make a big potatoe farm for work, that's fine. I'm sure the Cdn company that's fixing your damm didn't go down there with a false front or pretense.
  12. This is our country and we don't need the likes of your companies to tell us what to do with our land. There's enough grief without you trying to stir the mud. Farmers feed people.
  13. Jeez you got a lot of hard questions,, says it's FF 9.0.1(X-86).
  14. You might want to pay attention to changing the battery switch position while the motor is running. Some highly recommend NOT to do it as it may/will fry your alternator on the motor. That's for you to research.
  15. Last I heard, they (Gov't) put a hold on things until an extensive research was completed.
  16. Na, I can get in from either end and don't have Chrome.
  17. Problem is, I know you need just a wee bit more than a "couple" of deep cycle batteries and an inverter. If you plan on running anything like a Mwave, toasters, anything high current draw, your euchered. Then you need the transfer switches and all that wiring added. Unless you know what you're doing or have an electrician do it, it becomes pretty expensive.
  18. Last I checked, loonies and toonies are pretty hard on the teeth and paper money doesn't contain enough protein to keep you alive.
  19. Ed Zachary it's not that we're having shortages, hell we sell off enough to other places when they need it. Summer time a little different, ACs going like crazy. It's a political "green" thing driven by that idiot leader we have. If everybody wants 5 big screen TVs in their house and every other electrical gadget, fine, let them pay for the high rate and then some. Maybe they'll learn that the power source is not infinite. I (we) do our best at home to conserve. There are far too many out there, that "walk out of the room and don't turn off the light" if you know what I mean. Anyway, had some good fun there. Now I have to get back on my bike and crank out a few more watts.
  20. Keep it up, I'll send the mighty Cummins down there to whip your TOYotas and that'll just be the start
