It's that time of year for those of us that don't want to get caught waiting too long. The online system is up and running, took about 2 minutes, printed off a paper copy if Canada Post fails to deliver.
-
I'm sure there are battery shops out there that can refurbish the old one with new batteries.
-
Change motor and lower unit oils, drain gas, check and or replace fuel filter, drain rubber hose and gas tank. Then check wheel bearings, grease as needed( when I had my boat, that was done after the last outing, no point in having moisture inside the hubs to rust all winter), park boat/trailer, jack it up and put it on jackstands. Check lights and wiring, repair/replace as needed.
-
That's a nice perk for sure.

Too old, bah, just got and rent a hut from an operator, backpack with lunch and beverages, that's what I plan on this winter.
-
We have a Raycoon around here that would make Miss Piggy look slender.
-
I would wait until spring for new batteries, no point in wasting 6 months of warranty.

Princess auto has them on sale right now, these ones will give you a 3500 lb total capacity. https://www.princessauto.com/en/st205-75r14-5-bolt-trailer-tire-assembly/product/PA0008786410

Seriously, they have been in the river for quite a while now, would you like us to go catch some for you too.

So the rental of your propane tanks is based on the consumption or lack thereof of propane? That's about as close to a scam as you can get. That's like saying if I only buy half a tank of gas for my car, the pump price is higher than if I do a complete fill up.

Orillia has turned into a complete disaster, no more parking at fisherman's cove and most of the streets anywhere near that are either no parking or resident parking only. You can't park at Thudhope park across highway 12 with a trailer either. So, either go to one of the marina's or Go to Centenial park and pay $50 a day. Orillia can go fuddle duddle and I won't spend another dime there.

Hahahaha, Free is now a 4 letter word.

Cross the bridge in Meaford on Trowbridge St, keep left go through the parking area to the launch, $12 for park and launch.
-
Problem building, well, once there's been something like fishing line that got into the seal, it's pretty much pooched and gets worse.
-
I would suspect fishing line, it doesn't take much or much time for the line to destroy the outer seal.
-
Fix now or pay later, water is not a good lubricant for bearings and gears.
-
Yup, gaskets otherwise you wouldn't have carnation milk running out there. There's a bunch of you tube videos on how to replace them. While you're at it, do the impeller, upper gaskets and lower gaskets. iBoats.com has a lot of help.

We checked a couple years ago and the last time I went it was still that, $50 parking and $10 for launch. Last I checked earlier this year the water level was very low at the launch ramps by the grain elevators, if you have a bigger boat you may have to back in so far the trailer drops off the cement ramps. https://www.lakesimcoeoutdoors.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=50856

Any possibility of putting a deflector to increase wind exposure?

Some help trying to troubleshoot a Helix 7 issue
Fisherman replied to siwash's topic in General Discussion
Added up it's about 1.5 amp/hr, so a 30 should be good for a day at least. 12 hrs x 1.5 amps =18 amps -
Some help trying to troubleshoot a Helix 7 issue
Fisherman replied to siwash's topic in General Discussion
Your motor takes a lot of amps to start and when the Helix "sees" the power drop, I'm guessing around 10.8, it shuts off. Run the Helix from one of the trolling motor batteries. -
Well we used to enforce the rules a long time ago, after being introduced to it on a "light' scale, it can do wonders for pain and put you to sleep when the bloody tinnitus calls.
