  1. #1..take his tool box away. #2..hope he's not having sex any time soon, things could go bad for him.. #3..heck there's only a couple brushes, can't see how that would make it run backwards. I suppose he could have removed the + and - wire and put them in the wrong connectors, good luck
  2. Ya, just like everything else GM builds, you can see daylight between the top of the rear mudflaps and the wheel wells, really well executed.
  3. Listen we all told you before, get off the soapbox with your TOY, besides my Cummins wheel nuts need more torque than your Toota makes.
  4. Just got back from a fabulous 3 day trip to the Spanish River at Vances Camp. To keep it short and sweet, the weather man has been smoking again, the 2 forecast days of rain never happened, a little breezy on Friday but Sat/Sun made up for it. Walleye weren't quite in the abundance of last year but I blame the early spring for that. There were a couple short no feed periods, but catching all day long is the norm. The 20 incher above is the average, some smaller, some bigger. I latched onto one that I never did get to see, it may even have been a big cat or sturgeon. It just kept head shaking and slowly peeling line with a hook spit. The others in our group of 8 did equally well. I'm not much of a picture taker but I'm thinking 12foot will post some more when he gets back. If all goes well, we'll go back again.
  5. There you go, a little elbow grease and you saved a bunch and learned a bit along the way..
  6. As the others have said, the O/B motors generally only put out at higher rpm's. Some 4 strokes have better alternators and give a reasonable charge at lower speed. Recharging deep cycle batteries is usually limited to C20, or 20% of the batteries capacity so you don't damage the plates. I'm estimating it would take your O/B a number of hourS to recharge the battery running at pretty close to full tilt. As for your solar panels, here is reality: The average 12 volt, 15 watt solar panel will put out one amp (1A) per hour in direct sunlight. Direct sunlight is what you get from about 9:30am to 4:30pm and that;s with rotating the panel to face the sun directly(not on an angle). You do the math, 7 hours per day, you'll get about 7 amps. Take into account that batteries self discharge as part of the chemical process and you're blowing steam up a mouses butt. Some will say that their little 5 watt panel fully charges their battery in short time, it's physically impossible...but not mentally. Get the hint..
  7. I don't know the dimensions of part #1, but it would seem to be similar to a piece of slider stock from snowmobile sliders.
  8. Promptly blew the fuse is often a sign of a short or bare wires touching. Something stuck in there, it's possible. You can remove most motors from the pump mount quite easily. There are usually 2 small tabs on the lower edge of the pump assembly. Squeeze them together and the upper and lower half will separate. Then you will have a motor/pump with no obstructions and if nothing else is wrong, then it should work. Check your wiring to make sure nothing is touching.
  9. Well I bet these couple days made up for a lousy winter. Nice fishing & videos
  10. I thought american eels only spawn in the sargasso sea while the lamprey go up rivers.
  11. Bugs?... no bugs at all, bunch of dead ones floating that the little Herring were jumping for.
  12. Had my own marvellous morning, no dingbats at the boat launch, no wild wind. Head east down K Bay, hit the 90 foot mark start marking like crazy, big fish under clouds of bait. Hooked a nice 8lber, took about 10 minutes to land. Back home, toys put away and fish cleaned by 10:15.
  13. I have an easier way if you want suffering, just get run over by a 10 ton garbage compacter, they are good at pushing nerves. 2 cats and a dog would be okay, throw in the wife and 2 kids....
  14. If your pinkies have to push buttons to navigate the instrument, then I don't think it's hands free.
  15. I guess you'll have to pull over and park to check it, otherwise you're using a hand held electronic device while driving. I found that AM680 does a reasonably good job. Let the pot be stirred..
  16. Unsuccessful hunter eh, dictionary meaning, vegetarian.. Are you related to the guy on the Green Mile movie that couldn't get the mouse....
  17. Your money your choice,, like I said, it's the capacity in the battery that pushes you around, not the dollars.
  18. One more important point no one mentioned yet. Mice and rats prefer to run/walk along walls, they feel safer. Place the mousetrap with the peanut butter side towards the wall. If you set it in the middle of the room, there's a chance the mouse will come in from the wrong side, trip the flipper and end up getting tossed in the air and escape. I've seen it in action, funny as hell.
  19. I know everyone has their own reasons but for the life of me I can't figure out why anyone would buy Optima batteries. When you sit down and figure out the cost of the battery versus the actual output (capacity) of the battery compared to the standard lead/acid deep cycle or starting type, an Optima costs you at least twice as much. As for the arguement of being able to mount them up side down, not too many boats out there do barrel rolls with any finesse.
  20. Can't get outta their own way never mind catch a mouse. Peanut butter in a mousetrap, and don't buy any of the cheap stuff
  21. What Sandbag said. There's a tiny bit of dirt floating around at/in the jet. You get the initial bit of gas through it, the dirt gets sucked up, clogs the jet, the motor starts to die, the governor pulls on the auto choke lever, gets a bit of gas that way, makes a puff of blue rich smoke, the dirt drops a bit and gets more gas and the process goes over and over. I call it the auto choke lever, probably called something else though.
  22. Well here's one with probably the best reviews: http://www.tripadvisor.ca/Hotel_Review-g499276-d1788310-Reviews-Tamarack_Suites_Lodging-Moosonee_Ontario_s_Wilderness_Region_Ontario.html
  23. Ed Zacary, you'd be surprised how many people don't. Ask them what happens with non balanced car/truck tires...oh it shakes my car/truck, its unbearable.. Okay then, go balance your trailer tires too.
  24. Hmm, just like a bad nightmare... :rofl2:
  25. The important thing is do it now, the warmer the weather, the better the oil creeps.
