  1. Great downriggers!..have two of them myself and they are heavy duty. Get all my service done at Bay Distribtors in North Bay. If you need them serviced or gone over, send them up well before the season begins, George the tech is an awesome guy to deal with!
  2. Nice time there by the looks of it! What was the name of the camp? Dan
  3. Thinking of booking with these guys for a week in august. Has anyone stayed there and if so, how was the camp, fishing ect.. Good or bad reviews welcome. Dan
  4. Looking at booking a week long trip to Washington DC in August for our Anniversary. Going to fly out of Buffalo. What I am thinking is fly into DC, and use their transit system to get around. Arlington, White House, Smithsonian, ect..ect..We love to walk alot, so walking 10-12 blocks to get to an attraction is not a problem. I have been looking on Hotwire for Hotels, but the amount is almost overwhelming. My question, Has anyone stayed there and if so, can you enlighten me with reviews as to the hotel you stayed in, good or bad..ect. Do I fly into Ronald Regan or Dulles(sp??). If you wish to respond @ PM please do so I am not clogging up the board. Thanks Guys!! Dan
  5. Looking at booking up at Bay Lee Mac Camp either July or August. It is located on Rib Lake and is just north of Temagami itself. Apparently Cliff lake nearby is a walk through the bush to get to. Can anyone comment on their experiences at the camp good or bad and if it is possible to portage to cliff lake to fish also. Thanks, Dan
  6. Hey guy's, Heidt Furniture was produced in Waterloo Ontario. I have a outdoor furniture set were the sling chairs need the material replaced. I have found out that the company went under a few years ago. The frames are in excellent shape. It's just the material that needs replacing. Does anyone out there have any suggestions in which I can search out? It would seem an awful shame to throw out perfectly good chair frames, when all that needs replacing is the material itself. Thanks to everyone for their input and sorry for posting here, but I am at a total loss at this point. Dan
  7. Glad to see Roloff pull up a chair beside Jack at lunch..That's one smart pooch!!
  8. Well here is an update as to the unexpected trip to Boshkung. While the original plan was to stay at Kasha Lodge in one of the cottages, upon our arrival we were greeted by a most unwelcoming owner who portraid he was put out by our presece. Needless to say my buddy who had made all of the arrangements three weeks prior was miffed as to the downright rudeness and ignorant attitude of the owner. It was decided at this point that our money could be spent better elsewhere, by someone who actually gave a hoot. We ended up coming across a place called the Clansman Motel and Cottages. The owner Paul and his wife were most welcoming and a breath of fresh air considering what we had just been subject to at the other location. They are located directly on the shore of Lake Boshkung. Paul got us set up immediately in a roomy cottage, and got us out to the ice pronto. We even had the choice of propane or wood heat in the huts. Managed to get some fishing in till dark on the Tuesday, then did a full days fishing on the Wednesday, thus returning home the Thursday morning. Paul was out to check up on us as well as other guests every two to three hours and ensure that everything was okee dokie!! My two other pals, only managed a 1lb. laker that went back, but Wednesday afternoon I managed a nice 3 1/2lb. and 4 1/2lb. Laker within twenty minutes of each other. All in all it turned into a great three day getaway considering the rough start. To those who have wives or girlfriends who are unsure about staying at cottage/hotel, I can attest that this location was absolutely spick and span!! I will defenately be back again to explore more of Boshkung. Also a special thanks to Chimpboy for the PM on Boshkung prior to our departure!! I have attached a pic of me with the catch od the day, hopefully it shows up!! Dan
  9. If there is a guy by the call sign Mikmac, send me a PM..I haven't got your info...Dan
  10. Way to go Gino!!..Were you fishing big Marten Lake, or were you just the other side of that small bridge. We were at Marten River Lodge last summer and worked our way past Beaverland, under the small(tiny) bridge, through one water body and into the larger water body where hermits beach is. Found the fishing to be tough though last august. How thick was the ice when you were there? Dan
  11. Hey fellas' headed to Kasha Lodge this week to try for some "eyes"..Never been there before, going up with two guys, staying at Kasha Lodge, in one of the cottages. Any input as to best ways to target the wally's, current ice conditions, the lodge itself, or any other things good or bad would be appreciated. Can be mobile on foot if need be, just trying to decide if it's worth taking the auger ect, or if there is a need to move around alot. Lastly, I believe it is in Zone 17, would that be correct? Dan
  12. Hey Chuck!!..Had a great time out today with RR and you. Nice to finallymeet you!..Send me your info @ PM and I will hook up with you for some more fishing. I work opposite to RR so there are lots of days off between the two of us to go out with you if interested. Regards Dan aka..Machine57
