  1. It's taking a bit of a chance, if half the stuff doesn't apply to the species you normally target, then half your money is thrown out the door.
  2. Kinda had me wondering too..If it's visible from both sides, it's not hard. Otherwise you need a sealed blind rivet.
  3. I was up in Orillia yesterday, on the south side it's open out to the old Government dock, on the north side, it's open to about the first island. I'm thinking with the rain and temps this week coming we'll be good for opening day, maybe even before that.
  4. Even the S/E corner and Cook Bay in Simcoe are starting to darken up, shows better on todays image.
  5. And make darn sure you don't get any of the baking soda into the battery...at all or you'll shorten the battery life.
  6. One point no one has made is to check the "in service date" on the battery. There should be 2 dates, the manufature date and the date or month it is activated or acid added. You would be surprised how many sit on the shelf, doesn't matter what store, and you end up buying something that's half dead before yuo make use of it. The longer it sits without being maintained or recharged, the shorter the lifespan is.
  7. Duh, he means native fry..ya know, baby fish native to the lake and it's watershed.
  8. Nice picture of the fox, love to see them in action.
  9. I think before you jump in with 2 feet, try your boat out first on L StC. I have a plain jane 16 foot Princecraft Starfish and venture out on Georgian bay. Now when the weather gets nasty, I do other things. Remember even the titanic sank and it wasn't supposed to.
  10. Why should our dollars increase stocking when most of it will end up in nets anyway.
  11. If they are 11 years old, they owe you nothing and obviously you have treated them well. What brand/size are they, maybe you can get similar ones. If I was to go hardcore with a trolling motor, I would probably go with either the Odyssey or Deka brand, cost more, lasts longer.
  12. You sure about that size? I've looked and haven't found a hit anywhere. I found that size was used on Austin Minis, way back, converted to 145R10 metric, now 165R10, good luck.
  13. The one thing you really have to pay attention to is the charging rate and max voltage. They don't like being overcharged at all.
  14. The line up to the wood shed is getting shorter, time to line up for your beating..
  15. You guys are mean, I think he meant crayfish, they were scuttering up the river like mad..
  16. Everyone makes their choices, some based on feeling, some based on training and some probably in between. I have no qualms stopping to aid and often having an extra hand even if it's not trained can make a big difference. It's moments like that, you grit your teeth and get on with it.
  17. Hahaha, at least you have a lid on top to stay dry when it pours..
  18. I don't think it's been posted here before but definitley worth the hour of watching. Kind of makes you wonder what else they are feeding us, eh. http://salmonconfidential.ca/
  19. Exactly what Craig said. Why is the revenue going to restock when it gets raped by another group that has questionable limits.
  20. Oh ya, along with artificially controlled low interest rates, mortages, etc. You keep those rates low and suck people into buying more what they can afford. One of these days when the hatchet drops you'll find yourself sitting on the sidewwalk in your underwear, scratching whatever itches and say, what the......just happened. Every time I hear, "sell me your gold and I give you cash". People haven't suffered enough yet, it's when you get hungry, then you get evil.
  21. You guys need help http://www.mynewnormals.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/09/dr-phil-mickelson-advice1.jpg
