  1. I think there's a little wee bit of difference, MTO sends you a renewal form about 3 months prior to the expiry of your DL. Matter of fact, last time MNR sent me a renewal form also. Don't procrastinate.
  2. Without a doubt, I go with the Toyota. Looks is one of those things in the eye of the beholder, it doesn't improve gas mileage or durability. If that Touareg TDI with tracks was affordable..
  3. What's the ramming speed when making one of those? How many does it take to hold the turk when the ducken comes in for the insertion?
  4. Terry are you talking about ibycus?
  5. My oldest came back through there yesterday, Saguenay to Barrie, 16 hours that normally takes him about 9. Far to many dingbat drivers that think they're Villeneuve and probably over a 100 in the ditches.
  6. Nice old video, nothing like armstrong power to get the job done.
  7. And if all else fails, bigger hammer.
  8. If it's running with the choke on, then the float needle isn't stuck otherwise NO gas would get through. you probably have the main jet clogged up. A real healthy dos of Seafoam might start to clean it out, but at this point, I doubt it. Time for a real cleaning. For the red hot muffler, hmmm, bad timing or sheared woodruff key on the flywheel. My bro's blower did that. You could cook hotdogs on that sucker. .50 cent woodruff key under the flywheel/crankshaft fixed that. It had rotated about 3/4 of an inch.
  9. On my old Rabbit there was what they call a small "E" clip between the outer shaft and the inner rod. They are small and get covered with crud, hard to see.
  10. Second last picture, where the threaded portion and a bit lower looks like a big hex nut, clean that up and you may find the clip under there. Then you can pull the whole bull out and re grease it with some light weight grease like used for snowmobiles and boat trailer axles. Just a guess but I'm hoping..good luck.
  11. Merry Christmas to all along with the rituals that everyone else celebrates.
  12. The parents of Lightning Rod must have been pretty prolific, I have the triplet with the $59.97 tag still on it, bought it at a Kmart in Yorkville Sk. Last one on the shelf about 25 years ago. And no, not for sale.
  13. Anyone is free to go and spend but often a little searching can give some hard facts. Optima batteries are way over priced compared to the output/dollar. Optima Blue 27 $254. 140 minute reserve capacity Optima Blue 31 $284. 155 minute reserve Nautilus 27DC $114. 160 minute reserve Nautilus 31DC $139. 205 minute reserve Nautilus AGM31 $259. 200 minute reserve So, Nautilus 27 vs an Optima 27, less than 1/2 price with more output. Nautilus 31 vs an Optima 31, less than 1/2 price with over 25% more output. And, if you're hard set on spill proof, then a Nautilus 31AGM is still less than than an Optima 31 with almost 25% more output. That's how I look at it.
  14. There's only a handful of companies that actually make the batteries, Interstate is not one of them, they are made by Johnson Controls. Trojans are a very good brand along with Deka and Odyssey, mo money but better product. AGM's can be fussy with charging unless you have the proper charger. And lastly, wait til spring unless you plan on using them right away. 4 months of sitting around unless on a smart charger is 4 months less lifespan for the batteries at your cost.
  15. Priceless to say the least. No service but we'll just charge you for delivery anyway. It's unfortunate that public lashings aren't legal.
  16. Nope, parking lot at Sobeys..
  17. Only one problem, we don't have a law on disregarding common sense which leads to driving like an idiot in all sorts of conditions.
  18. Might be getting colder but I don't think the windy conditions are going to help the processs much..
  19. They work really well when you have some ignorant jerk drilling holes right next to you, just make sure your line is tougher than theirs.
  20. Pretty much what Moosebunk said. I did 8 hr shifts(9 days on-6 days off)1972-77 for about the first 5 years, then 12hr shifts from 77 to about 2007. Some were 3D-2N, 4 off, 2D-3N, 5 off. Unless all the others at home understand your need for sleep in the daytime, it can be holy hell. Fortuntely back then the kids were good about it. When I got to straight days about 5 years ago, it was unbelieveable, bacon and eggs at the right time of day, poop at the right time of day, you get the picture. Your body will hate you..often.
  21. Don't give them any ideas, next you'll have to meow in french..
  22. Pretty cheesy, ya have to bring your own firewood for the stove, maybe just take out a couple of the inside 2 x 4's...
  23. Some things just have to be passed on.. After 35 years of marriage, a husband and wife came for counseling. When asked what the problem was, the wife went into a tirade listing every problem they had ever had in the years they had been married. On and on and on: neglect, lack of intimacy, emptiness, loneliness, feeling unloved and unlovable, an entire laundry list of unmet needs she had endured. Finally, after allowing this for a sufficient length of time, the therapist got up, walked around the desk and after asking the wife to stand, he embraced and kissed her long and passionately as her husband watched - with a raised eyebrow. The woman shut up and quietly sat down as though in a daze. The therapist turned to the husband and said, "This is what your wife needs at least 3 times a week. Can you do this?" "Well, I can drop her off here on Mondays and Wednesdays, but on Fridays, I fish." :rofl2:
  24. Just read this on another board, looks like the limits have been cut in half for non commercial types. That really makes you think twice if it's worth the drive anymore, Sport licence 2, Conservation licence 1. http://www.mnr.gov.on.ca/stdprodconsume/groups/lr/@mnr/@letsfish/documents/factsheet/stdprod_101636.pdf
