  1. A gate on your driveway restricting easy access to the property can work wonders. Quite often the thieves will drive up the driveway and knock on the door. If it is answered they will say they are looking for someone fictional and pretend they got the wrong house. If the door is not answered they will kick the door in and clean you out. If they are unable to pull a vehicle up close to the house it makes it much more difficult. Cheers Craig
  2. Cliff As Lew said, i think a quick trip to the doctor to be on the safe side would be a good idea. That $100 bucks you owe me can wait til tomorrow. hahaha All joking aside, it sounds like you really rattled your head and should have it looked at. Hope your feeling better Cheers Craig
  3. Sugarloaf marina in Port Colborne can be good for perch at times. Also the odd pike. Also consider Beacon marina on Lake Ontario and 50 point Marina all closer to The Hammer. The Grand River in Dunnville well below the dam for walleye Cheers Craig
  4. Just Read is St. Catharines Paper.......Unbelieveable U.S. authorities are hunting for two men after a charter boat was hijacked at knifepoint from Queenston and the captain forced to take them across the border. According to the U.S. Coast Guard, an 18-foot charter vessel picked up two people at a Queenston marina shortly before noon Tuesday for a paid fishing charter. While on the water, the two people pulled knives on the captain and ordered him to take them to shore in the U.S. The boat dropped the men off on shore near Fort Niagara where they fled by foot. The captain then went to the U.S. Coast Guard station to report he had been hijacked. He told officials both men, who are believed to be Canadian with French accents, had phones and began making calls as they ran from the shore. The investigation continues by the Coast Guard, the Niagara County Sheriff's Office, U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Department of Homeland Security and New York State Park Police. Niagara Regional Police is also assisting in the investigation. Cheers Craig
  5. Lake Simcoe is WIDE open no ice..... I would hate to see anybody travelling get their hopes up. Give it three more weeks and we may be getting started. Cheers Craig
  6. Here she is. Same as some others in the crowd in that it is pretty heavy to throw in the truck for an ice fishing sled, but always fun on the trails. It's a 1999 Ski Doo, Mxz600 Plenty fast enough for me and handles quite well. Mechanically it has been a great sled. Sure miss the old 1986 Indy Trail 488 fanner for fishing though. I love seeing all the sleds. i guess it's almost time. Cheers Craig
  7. Wow kevin The video and editing was great. Thanks for the effort. Very fun to watch. Cheers Craig
  8. Awesome report LeXXington Where does Rob operate his boat from? Is he along the South Coast? Love Barbados and it looks like you had a wonderful trip. Cheers Craig
  9. Chris I can already picture your Haliburton back lake winter reports. That will be a great sled for what we have seen you do in the past. Enjoy Cheers Craig
  10. "Stewart’s car then struck Ward, throwing him about 15 meters across the track. Ontario County Sheriff Philp Povero said his department is not investigating the incident as a criminal matter and that Stewart, a three-time NASCAR Sprint Cup champion, has been “fully cooperative.” Stewart was questioned at the scene and released." It would appear it is not being investigated as a criminal matter Cheers Craig
  11. Those Crappie look awesome Simon, Glad you had a good trip. Cheers Craig
  12. Very nice Simon. I grew up fishing off that pier. We would fish the opposite side of the pier in the channel for perch. Doesn't look like it has changed a bit. There used to be a small restaurant at the foot of the pier that served awesome smelt dinners. Thanks for posting. I will be down there on the August long weekend and hopefully getting into some perch off the rifle range. Cheers Craig
  13. It's Illegal to remove or alter a VIN. You may have to take the VIN# from the trailer to the MTO, pay the fee and determine who actually owns the trailer. Then go from there. Cheers and good luck Craig
  14. I'm not sure that we know the penalty yet do we Cliff.....I agree her heart had no malice whatsoever......but also had a huge lapse in judgement. very sad story all around. Cheers Craig
  15. Since most are on shore, they likely figured they were good....... Cheers Craig
  16. Hi Darren Last that I had heard was things were still slow out of Port Maitland. There has been action farther west off Port Burwell from what I have been hearing. Cheers Craig
  17. Did the person that called you get a ticket for this? I think the story may have got lost in translation somewhere along the line. Never heard of any law prohibiting leaving your hitch in the receiver. Only issue I can imagine would be it sticking out too far and not being marked, or not being properly secured and coming out of the receiver. Be interested if you hear more. Cheers Craig
  18. Indeed a Sycamore tree..sometimes known as Camouflage tree due to the peeling bark patterns. Cheers Craig
  19. For what it"s worth.....Discount Tire Direct has prices about the same as Tirerack, but has free shipping to US address. Used them a few times very happy. Cheers Craig
  20. Gorgeous...... Hope you get the snow you need....and temperatures that you can enjoy it. Cheers Craig
  21. Great choice for an ice fishing sled in my opinion. 1. I would check that the oil injection is working and if it is, i would leave it hooked up and use it. I find mixing fuel a major pain but that is more of a personal preference i guess. Yamaha Enticer is a pretty simple machine to work on and ensure injection is functioning. 2. With those compression reading, I would consider a top end rebuild in the future at some point, but i would run it as is for the season. I believe new rings and piston should put you up around 130lbs. 3. can't help you with the ice fishing mods but have seen dozens with built on boxes for gear and auger racks. Good luck and enjoy. Very durable and light machine. Perfect for the ice. Cheers Craig
