  1. 2R's You have taken much time this season to explain several different baits and techniques in detail. I just wanted to say thank you. Many of us that don't get out fishing as much as we would like to certainly appreciate it. I know from personal experience that I tend to stick with the same old things that I have always been doing. Your posts on techniques certainly have given me the knowledge to at least try some of the other techniques available to us. Once again Thanks Cheers Craig
  2. Done and done....very nice essay Good luck to your daughter Spiel Cheers Craig
  3. I think I know why your rye and coke has been tasting funny lol Nice job Leechman....gotta love the garlic. It's a staple in our house. Cheers Craig
  4. You are pretty close to Lighthouse Cove at the mouth of the Thames river where it meets Lake St. Clair. There are several channels to fish for Largemouth and panfish in those channels, just be careful of private property. Many fish from shore right at the Lighthouse as well. In the fall, this area gets very busy with Muskie fishermen both in boats and near the Lighthouse on shore. There are also shore fishing opportunities for perch etc. in the Leamington and Wheatley areas, you just have to search them out. Canoes can be rented at Point Pelee Provincial park and there can be some good Bass fishing in the marsh cuts at that location. Good luck Cheers Craig
  5. Mike....I sure hope my wife never reads your posts. With moving only a short time ago, finishing the shed and now moving the pergola in; you make me look like a lazy ass. Enjoy your fishing trip to White River. Cheers Craig
  6. Terry...that second flick looks like quite a pig. Enjoy your fly-in. I just booked a fall trip to Belleterre, Quebec for September, so I know how you must be itchin to get there. Cheers Craig
  7. Awesome Beans...gotta love little surprizes like that. To me that is half the fun of fishing, the unknown that has you and a friend laughing. Bet you'll never forget that! Nice job Beans Cheers Craig
  8. Wow Bill.....just Wow Looks like an awesome day. Congrats Not too many days on the water with that much action. Cheers Craig
  9. On the opposite side of Rondeau Bay (approx. 15 minute drive) is the Town of Erieau. There is a pier on the lake side of town. At times, the perch fishing can be awesome off the pier. Morning and evenings have worked best for me. Good luck Cheers Craig
  10. Its now officially the "Poop" deck. Nice catch You will now always be the unofficial Ontario Sucker Record holder in my books bud Cheers Craig
  11. I figured I'd see an LPB report from you Dan. Nice job. Were all the party Charter boats out by EC10? Cheers Craig
  12. From all of the media coverage that I have watched, I have no idea of any message that any group of "Peaceful Protestors" was trying to convey to the general public. The media coverage has only been focused on the thugs causing the violence. Maybe it's time for the Peacful Protest groups to find another form of protest where their voice and message can actually be heard. The group(s) causing the damage and violence hide among them and ultimately silence the message they are trying to convey. Just my 2cents. Cheers Craig
  13. You too Wayne...looks like your fishing time is well deserved. Cheers Craig
  14. Great report Joey and i'm glad you had a blast. All I'm gettin is the red X insead of the pic's though. Cheers Craig Disregard...getting them now Thx for the report
  15. To be quite frank, I wonder why in this day and age that the G8 or G20 leaders have to meet in person to carry on their business. This seems to be the result every time. With video conferencing and the technology of today, conduct your business in this fashion. These so called meeting cost the taxpayers billions and could be conducted so much more efficiently in other ways. At the very least, conduct them somewhere in secret and announce the results of your meetings somewhere publicly after returning to your respective countries. Sure you would miss a few photo ops and a few free dinners, but considering the disruption to the host countries I thin it would be well worth while. Just my 2cents of course, there may be reason for meeting in person that I don't see. Cheers Craig
  16. Looks like it's getting ugly. If they are trying to make a point about their cause, I sure don't know how this helps. I have no idea what their cause is and I'm sure the majority of people don't. Unbelieveable...and they will wonder why they get gassed and complain to anyone that will listen. Where has common sense gone? www.thespec.com/News/BreakingNews/article/796927 Hope nobody gets hurt Cheers Craig
  17. Awesome indeed....how could it be any better. Cheers Craig
  18. How long did that smoke for Billy Bob Looks delicious Cheers Craig
  19. Nice Job Brifishrgy...The perch should be there once the mouth of the river clears up a bit. Hopefully in the next few days if the rain would lay off. Cheers Craig
  20. That's solid right there. Nice Ron.. Cheers Craig
  21. Good on ya for trying Cliff...don't know what it is these days but some people just have their backs up all the time. Cheers Craig
  22. Thanks for the update fish finder. Should be any time now though if we get some warmer temps. Cheers Craig
  23. There are some great deals to be had right now for sure. My wife and I just returned from 4 nights at The Bellagio. With flights included it was just under $1000. Not too bad if you ask me. Four nights is definitely enough though. I just got my liver back from the dry cleaners! Cheers Craig
  24. Never ceases to amaze me that people identify someone with a uniform taking a coffee break with a Tim Horton's. These people, whether it be police, MNR, ambulance or fire fighters etc. work in the community and take coffee breaks just like the people that see them there. Imagine if people didn't see them out there, where would they be. Being visible in the community is what they are supposed to do. I suppose they could all take their breaks at the police station out of the public eye. Then you could be rest assured that people would complain because they were in the police station and took them too long to get to someone's call. I too am glad you saw the MNR out and about. I would think if I saw one in a Tim Horton's, I would offer to buy him/her their coffee and thank them for being out and about instead of in an office somewhere. IMHO Cheers Craig
