  1. last week was summer, now we are back to fall
  2. musky would not have spawned yet at that temp I don't think
  3. alright,I'm in
  4. Nice King! I used to do quite a bit of deep sea fishing a few years back. Some days all you get is the head of those kingfish on the line because a big barracuda bites em clean through as you're reeling it in.
  5. I hear you! Now if we can convince my wife Lew, that looks like what I've done...tower of miscellaneous wood pieces! Your trailer looks MUCH nicer than mine though.
  6. I put my boat/trailer on axle stands the first time this winter. Do you guys do this in the summer as well when the boat won't be used for 3 weeks? 5 weeks? I just pulled my boat back in to the garage, and decided to put it back on the stands. This time I put the stands in a different spot, more towards the back of the boat (through the winter I actually had the axle jacked up). Just dropped the tongue down, put the stands in place towards the back of the trailer, and cranked the tongue back up (I believe Wayne had suggested this method last fall). Also noticed a lot of weight up at the tongue, so I built a tower of 2x4's and other scraps and rested the tongue on that (guess I need to buy another axle stand!)
  7. apparently I missed something today. Time to start looking for the locked thread
  8. its red and white. Muskies won't eat that colour combination...send it to me and I'll dispose of it properly for you
  9. Burke just traded the 2012/13 first round pick for Mike Krushelnyski and a box of day old doughnuts. Turns out they could have just dusted him off and signed him but Burke preferred to trade away the pick so that Krushelnyski would feel like he's worth something. Knowing how much they gave up to get him would make him try harder right? The doughnuts have not been seen again.
  10. Burke has always been the problem. This bad for this many years you're at least going to draft some studs and build this way...ooooohh, right...no draft picks. I'm shocked he didn't trade away this year's pick too when the team was doing well. Thinking you're giving up 22nd overall pick but it ends up being 4th overall by the time the season is over.
  11. I'd wait, where the heck is he gonna use a musky reel before April?
  12. they are ruined...leave them at my house and I will look after them for you
  13. ask Wayne to fly it in for you. I saw him holding a sign the other day "Will fly for food" (or maybe did it say beer?)
  14. ...classic
  15. that's a good problem to have! If its truly that busy all the time then they will do something about it. Its cheaper to bring in a new guy then pay all that overtime. I know for my guys they always complain during busy weeks. They forget that the previous week they were watching paint dry and getting out early every day!
  16. whooh, thanks for clarifying. I thought BB was out fishing for cats. Now that's a Redneck!
  17. Is that part of the canoe route with the free camping? My experiences on these lakes is there is minimal catch and release, resulting in minimal fish in the lake. Catching fish while camping makes people feel like survivorman and they must eat what they catch
  18. go figure. I have a silver one which I used for maybe one season when I first started musky fishing. Used it this past fall a bit for some vertical jigging. Real piece of junk. Made me remember why I retired it even when I was new to the sport
  19. that's because your shingles are two towns over!
  20. I just finished watching tornado footage from the states so sorry, you're spruce "doin the hustle" didn't quite compete
  21. what's this? I have a corsair I haven't used in a few years because it was junk. Are you saying I could trade it in for something that is less junk?
  22. just fish muskies instead...if your lures are staying underwater all the time you're going to slow
  23. been there done that won't do it again...although in our case it was a lawn chair I chased across the lake (we were "smart" enough not to set up the hut)
  24. Good stuff, that's a lot of ice too! I was on around 5 inches on Simcoe the other day.
  25. good thing I carry 900 when I go fishing. I guess if you weren't carrying that much $ you could always drive to the bank machine...
