  1. zoinks what a giant!
  2. Are there any cottage resorts on L St. Clair with a sandy beach for the kids? We are thinking of heading that way for a week, but have never been out there. Have no idea if the shoreline is "child-friendly" like parts of L Erie would be. Camping is not an option. Hoping to go with another family, so resort would be better than private cottage...unless its a BIG cottage. Any input would be much appreciated.
  3. DY-NO-MITE....would have preferred a real "Good Times" video but Green Day isn't bad either
  4. ...family wedding next week-end..grrrrr
  5. ....sorry, forgot to mention the total weight for the 25 fish was 26 pounds
  6. selecter, fishbone, skaface, villains...man I miss ska
  7. last time I was there we caught over 25 pike (2 guys, 1 day)...I think you'll find them
  8. so jealous!
  9. oh ya, it will be ignorant. I have stopped making any May 24 plans that involve going north if my wife is involved. If its a boys week-end thing, put on the bug helmets and go for it! If the wimmin are coming and want to go for "long romantic walks in the woods" you are toast
  10. Was hoping to go after some pike in Mitchell Lake this spring, but when I drove past a few months back the lake was pretty much empty. Is the water back and did the pike come with it? Or do the pike head for Canal or Balsam when the water drops? We went one day last year and it felt good to annhilate a few pike that are heading through the Kawarthas. Would like to slay a few more this year if I could. If Mitchell is still just a puddle with stumps, perhaps someone could point me in the direction of high pike density in Balsam.
  11. classic, but that ain't nothing. My boss cheated on his wife with an employee...my bosses wife is an angry woman on a good day...did I mention my boss and his wife are still working together in the same building...with me
  12. that place on the 400 just north of Toronto, Rack and Reel in Barrie, Jacob's on Hw 11 just south of Orillia all carry suckers. Also, when I lived in Toronto there was a place on Jane just north of Lawrence that had then (Cousin George's I think it was called)
  13. where are you going to fish? Doesn't make much sense to refer you to a bait shop in Orillia if you're going to Belleville
  14. Happy birthday Brian! Now that you are old, time to start thinking of prepaying your funeral. I will give you a special birthday discount.
  15. thank you for confirming it's him, the jogging and looking much thinner threw me off
  16. WOW, did you inflate those to 40 p.s.i? some look ready to blow!
  17. shoot sorry to hear that. A guy up here just filled in one of his ponds, it also had some beauty fish in it. One pike which I lost at shore had to be close to 40 inches.
  18. now I'm angry again. Get it back the day you rescue them, not so hard. Thank you for saving lives but stop wasting money!
  19. depending on temps some motors take a bit of time before they pee out. When I'm out in freezing temps I've seen it 30-45 seconds (which feels like an eternity when you're watching).
  20. 9 years? Buy another and save your self the grief of fixing this one for $250-$350, and then something else pooches on it in 2 weeks.
  21. seriously...how in the world did they not get these things back? 300.00 each? Great. The fishermen are idiots who cost us money, the people who rescue them, although doing an admirable job, don't even think to get the jackets back? The wasting of tax dollars is never ending. Should the rescuers pay for not getting the lifejackets back? If my staff lost thousands in equipment there would be heck to pay...not, oh well, we hope they give them back. Sorry for the rant but the amount of waste on all sides is mind boggling.
  22. zoinks that thing is a pig!
  23. what a world, put over $150 in the truck a few days back. Absolutely criminal
  24. do you mean when the puck was under Lombardi? I guess if the ref saw the puck He figured it was loose...but to me it didn't look like he saw it. It looked like he was looking for it, and then he didn't even see it go in! If you watch the reply he doesn't turn his head to look in the net until the horn is blowing..leads me to believe he could not see the puck, so yes, he should have blown the whistle
  25. Sure hope they lose this game. We finally have a draft pick, time to tank and ensure a good one. They had the lead but are doing an admirable job of blowing it. Every year they win games at the end when the season is meaningless WOOOHHHOOOO SABRES just scored!!
