  1. had a couple of those keep me awake all night last year during a camping trip...was a real racket as they called back and forth...one 5 feet from my left ear and one 5 feet from my right ear...or so it seemed. Much more enjoyable watching your video than hearing it live from midnight to 5 am
  2. hahaha that is hilarious...but also sad. Wanting to put up a sign is a mockery to those who have actually lost a loved one on the roads.
  3. Like that rod holder! Can't believe the ice, what a brutal year
  4. after all the room we had out near Angus the subdivision life wasn't treating us well...found a place at the top end of Guelph with a bit more room. We DEFINITELY want this to be our last move though. Gets worse every time
  5. Sorry I missed this! Rob, we moved from Breslau to Guelph last week...you could've come here!
  6. I like your confidence!...but if there is anything I can do to this thing I will. Wife will be ticked if I crap out her ride.
  7. A couple of months ago I asked here about the necessity of getting a "tow-package" installed on my Dodge Caravan to get it ready to tow. The consensus was 1) don't tow with Caravan and 2) if you have to tow then yes, do get the tow package. Anyways, I bought the van last year and it did not have the tow package. Called the Dodge dealer yesterday to get "tow package" installed and he didn't seem to have a clue what I meant by tow package. Apparently, they never install the tow package after the fact, they come that way from the factory when the vehicle is purchased new. I called a second dealer and got the same story. I know the tow package would include a tranny cooler (which I am told the Caravan already has) but what other things would I want to do to this dang thing to get it ready for towing? And what type of comapny would I call to install it? The dodge dealers only seemed prepared to do the receiver and wiring, not other things that might have been part of the "tow package"
  8. thanks guys, since the caravan is my only option right now...sounds like beef it up best I can and drive gently! The tow package is about $1000 so hopefully its a lot more than just a hitch, wiring and tranny cooler.
  9. very jealous...have lots of fun and post some pics!
  10. haha fix the truck.... That thing cost me so much in repairs every year it had to go. Replacing a caravan tranny every other year would actually be cheaper.
  11. I will tow it probably 10 times a year...but when I go its 250 kms there and 250 kms back
  12. I though the tow package was like $1000? If it was 100.00 its a no brainer..
  13. she's a beauty! Someday I'll splurge...just waiting for a fish that big!
  14. So the truck broke down and I am left with a 2013 Dodge Caravan to tow with, just have to get the hitch put on. I will be towing a 16.5 foot Alumacraft - full windshield - 90 hp yamaha. My guess is the weight would be close to 2000 lbs maybe a bit more? Do i need to get the "tow package" installed (transmission cooler?) or will I be ok just to do the hitch? Anyone have experience or opinions? For the most part I will be towing a level drive...from Kitchener to Windsor area.
  15. even when the truck is 10 feet away guy on the phone doesn't even see he is about to get t-boned...crazy
  16. 16?? That is nuuts! Congrats
  17. I would say its about time. When I used to live in Barrie I couldn't believe the amount of free parking down by the waterfront. I often thought it was a huge waste of revenue sitting there doing nothing. People will not cancel their trip to the beach over a few bucks to park...they would spend at least $15 more in gas to get to the next decent spot!
  18. shoot I nearly bought a house on townline right near blackbridge last year...we could have been neighbours
  19. ...that's why I bring about 5 extra reels with me....swap reels and clean that mess up at home.
  20. ya my wife has been interested in doing this too...me? Not so much. But like previously said, would earn me some fishing time!
  21. Elf...and Rudolph the RNRD (love that dang Bumble)
  22. this is supposed to be fun? No thanks
  23. ...huh....here I thought that song was a Clash original. Unfortunately never heard of Junior Murvin, although it seems some of the best music can trace its roots back to reggae.
  24. My kids have been skating for 3 days now on our homemade rink in Kitchener...crazy.
  25. in the video looks a bit like a swimming possum
