  1. where you going out of? I'm heading that way Monday as well!
  2. Wow that is a great story. I have had many beasts attack fish while ocean fishing but this has yet to happen for me while fishing in Ontario...maybe its because I go straight for the big guy in the first place. Glad to see you got some good fun out of the boat this year!
  3. ...haha ya until he googles it and finds this thread with everyone saying 8500...know how to delete a thread?
  4. well if that merc is an undercover yami it sounds like a nice package
  5. Used boats really hold their value especially if its a Lund and in good shape. I'm not a huge merc fan but I bet a boat like that would be worth maybe 8500. Too bad it doesn't have bowmount trolling motor or electronics because those will set you back another grand or more, also it sounds underpowered with a 60 on a boat rated for 90.
  6. I got a 2 day trip planned for early to mid Oct...so I should be due for at least a day trip by early November! If I'm off I'll come for the day
  7. yup, that's a giant alright!
  8. now cast that kid out there and wait for something big to hit the bluegill
  9. have been doing the barn thing for years. Only problem I ever had was birds pooping on my cheap tarp that covered the good one. I did jack it up and take the tires off to deter theft. My sister (where I keep the boat) goes away for the whole month of December. I figured better safe than sorry.
  10. my buddy lost a compre/record in pigeon a couple months back, maybe you find a needle in the haystack while you are out there! Good luck and get real slimed
  11. Wow what a fish. YOU look small holding that thing!
  12. hey why not? better late than never. Thanks for the report
  13. Nuts...ended up having to work. Man that work thing can get in the way of fishing. Likely won't get out again until mid september so I will just have to enjoy your reports until then.
  14. thats a decent pike, has graduated from hammerhandle or snotrocket status so I'd say 5 or 6 pounds. Pretty good for a first one, there are plenty of smaller ones out there waiting to bite-off your bass lures
  15. should've raked a double 10 across the top of that rock...you'd be eatin tonight! Nice little bbq
  16. That is awesome! Good thing the battery died because when that fish left your wife's bait to go hit yours she did NOT look impressed. I'm glad I watched though, I've been debating asking for Thursday off to go fishing, but a little reluctant...now I'm asking for sure!
  17. I'm generally the type of guy to give the policeman the benefit of the doubt...and even after the first 3 shots would have done so. But the next 6 are just sick, that is not self defense at all it is shooting to kill.
  18. awesome, congrats! Hope that episode is on when I get my free preview of musky hunter!
  19. Nice! Little guy all tuckered out eh? Where's the picture of your brother sawing logs...we big guys need a nap after fishing too.
  20. awesome! That was well worth the read. I remember when you went last time thinking thank goodness you got that big girl or that would have been a depressing ride home (as far as the fishing was concerned). Not this time! What a fantastic trip you guys had, some gorgeous fish.
  21. oooh can hardly wait...lots of big toothy fishies I hope
  22. Wow what a fish! Nice job Lew, pretty decent photo as well doing it on your own. Already your trip can be classified a fishing success regardless what happens the rest of the way.
  23. remember sitting in my back yard in Toronto and being able to see stars!
  24. interesting. I've had 2 different powerdrives on my last 2 boats and never had that happen
