go get em boys! We went to Balsam last week and had to break a bit of ice at the launch...good times! Mitchell was totally frozen over so we were a bit nervous

So I went to check out a used snowblower tonight that was supposed to be "brand new". On kijiiji it said bought last year and barely used. I had done a bit of research and when I got there it did not look like last years model! Had a chance to check it out now that I'm home...looks like it might actually be a 2010 or possibly a 2009. As far as condition it is in? It does look like the thing has been barely used. So its a barely used 2009 or 10 rather than a barely used 2013. Any thoughts on what its worth? Can't really find any comparables out there. We had previously agreed on a price, but don't know if I should change that because the machine is 3 years older than expected. I am supposed to go pay and pick it up in the am.

Bay city has stopped, I got the last one!

thats the way we have been looking at it...it truly is an adventure every time we go. Here comes a storm....do we head for the car? do we head back to our camp site?....oh look at that, not gonna make either lets duck and cover. I have been under people's decks, under their cottages, squatting in the woods, in garden sheds...you name it. We have had some crazy weather.

We go on a couple day musky trip every year shortly after opener. Without fail, the weather is absolutely brutal every time we go. Almost to the point of being comical. Our plan was to be at L St. Clair tomorrow by about 6 am. Forecast? Lightening all day....oh wait../nearly forgot the wind...50 k gusts. The last couple of weeks have been perfect weather. I finally get to go fishing? BAM bring on the non-stop lightening. We have had many brutal adventures in the Kawarthas of hunkering down to wait out storms cowering somewhere (usually under someone's cottage)...this time it sounds like we won't even get on the water!

wow 20 minutes on musky gear? Time to tighten the drag!
-
those cdn tire covers go on sale every other week...I know because I have debated buying one ten times in the last 20 weeks!
-
oh ya...haven't had the boat out yet, but off to LSC for 3 days next week. Can't wait.
-
just drag junior behind the boat on a tube, prevents awkward "falling out of boat discussions" with wife. Good luck, looks like a nice boat!

LOWE! That's the make you want. I also needed a 14 foot boat about some time ago and wanted a side console. I found that Lowe had the best layout and a decent platform up front. Any other make I would not even consider (at that time) because their platforms were tiny. Mine was a 14' Lowe with 25 hp Johnson. Lew's brother had the same boat I recall. For me, it was perfect...until I got a bigger vehicle and garage...then I went for the 16 footer!

Nice! Glad to see you getting out. My boat is out of storage but odds are it'll be mid June before it hits water...sigh
-
just reef'er up on shore...but not so high you can't push'er back out!
-
haha...I was in some pretty hairy conditions on St. Clair last year...happy to be in the bigger, heavier boat I have now. But for Kawarthas? I would take that one back in a heartbeat
-
...yup that's how i remember her...started up like gold every spring for me too. Glad that you are having the same results! My new boat is still in storage and its killing me thinking about it. Hope this motor is as trusty as that one!

Wow...can't believe he was still alive! We read Lost in the Barrens as a kid at school MANY years ago

NF - Barred Owl Vocalizing to Mate - Video - Ottawa
Rizzo replied to JustinHoffman's topic in General Discussion
had a couple of those keep me awake all night last year during a camping trip...was a real racket as they called back and forth...one 5 feet from my left ear and one 5 feet from my right ear...or so it seemed. Much more enjoyable watching your video than hearing it live from midnight to 5 am- 15 replies

hahaha that is hilarious...but also sad. Wanting to put up a sign is a mockery to those who have actually lost a loved one on the roads.

Like that rod holder! Can't believe the ice, what a brutal year

after all the room we had out near Angus the subdivision life wasn't treating us well...found a place at the top end of Guelph with a bit more room. We DEFINITELY want this to be our last move though. Gets worse every time
-
Sorry I missed this! Rob, we moved from Breslau to Guelph last week...you could've come here!

I like your confidence!...but if there is anything I can do to this thing I will. Wife will be ticked if I crap out her ride.

A couple of months ago I asked here about the necessity of getting a "tow-package" installed on my Dodge Caravan to get it ready to tow. The consensus was 1) don't tow with Caravan and 2) if you have to tow then yes, do get the tow package. Anyways, I bought the van last year and it did not have the tow package. Called the Dodge dealer yesterday to get "tow package" installed and he didn't seem to have a clue what I meant by tow package. Apparently, they never install the tow package after the fact, they come that way from the factory when the vehicle is purchased new. I called a second dealer and got the same story. I know the tow package would include a tranny cooler (which I am told the Caravan already has) but what other things would I want to do to this dang thing to get it ready for towing? And what type of comapny would I call to install it? The dodge dealers only seemed prepared to do the receiver and wiring, not other things that might have been part of the "tow package"
-
thanks guys, since the caravan is my only option right now...sounds like beef it up best I can and drive gently! The tow package is about $1000 so hopefully its a lot more than just a hitch, wiring and tranny cooler.
