  1. that one must be a city trout...got some crazy piercing through his nose
  2. that anchor you found...was it red by any chance? Was it attached to a blue rope? If so I think its mine. Luckily we live in the same city so you can just drop it off any time
  3. its been a while since anyone smashed some fish around here, glad to see a good report, keep em coming
  4. a mighty fine collection of coarse fish you tied into!
  5. I don't think its ridiculous. Sounds like stealing to me. Guess white collar crime isn't deserving of jail time either?
  6. look yummy. Remember to have a flame thrower of some sort to re-attach tail after first chomp, otherwise makes for a pricy disposable bait.
  7. Some gas stations have vending machines that sell that kind of stuff. I need a vending machine that'll fire out some leeches and minna's though
  8. There is the 6 mile lake - Gibson - McRae Lake canoe route just off Hwy 400 that i used to camp at 20 years ago before it became an absolute zoo (free camping will do that). Pretty sure its Gibson Lake (right side of the highway as you head north, past the Georgian Bay Rd. exit) that you can walk to a few sites without even needing a canoe. Good luck on a holiday week-end though. Better get there Wednesday because come later in the week you won't find a parking spot for miles. If you go a little further north I've seen "squatters" where the Musquash River crosses the 400, but thes people are literally 50 feet from the highway whizzing past. Rent a canoe on the way north, it will open up endless options for you. Better yet, get a real campsite, rent a boat from a local resort and enjoy yourself. Well worth the money - no fear of getting your donkey booted for trespassing and you'll catch fish!
  9. hahaha good for you Terry! Last spring I was fishing L. Muskoka the same day as the big pike tourney they have. My buddy caught a pike over 30 inches which likely most of the anglers could have used (we were not entered in the tourney). We joked about selling it, then released it right in front of some guys.
  10. That's the general rule I understand, but I've never put it into practise as almost all of my musky fishing is done in the fall with big honkin' lures
  11. Right on! Good chow of perch plus let the real spawners go.
  12. Never a swan, but plenty of pelicans, the odd seagull, and last summer a loon!
  13. Sportsman's show in Toronto when I was a kid. I wasted all my money fishing in that stocked tank to catch that one big trout swimming around with all the little ones. Cost me a fortune but I finally got him. Only wild one I ever caught was a big shock, caught in a golf course pond!
  14. nice report and pic's. Sounds like a rough day to be a coarse fish in the grand!
  15. Geez, tough call, they are all so ugly. I guess the one that freaks me out the least is the mighty sheephead so I'll have to go with that.
  16. don't have a heart attack, its just one opener of (hopefully) many to come
  17. yup, grab 'em by the hole...works every time
  18. those are great. I especially like Joey's shoe repair guy (does anyone actually repair their shoes anymore??)
  19. what's a worm harness
  20. Musky fishing already eh? Guess I need to head to the states for a fix! Good luck to you both. Best thing about fishing is you usually come away with great memories regardless of how much (or little) you caught.
  21. nice pic's. With the great weather I'd imagine it was a zoo out there
  22. you read my mind. Hard to find real nice sized ones too
  23. never fished there so I can't give you any tips, but I can wish you good luck! Good luck
