  1. I've got one like that with a 15 hp and it moves pretty good. That thing should fly with a 40!
  2. are you nuts? If you're on a body of water that has the big toothy critters forget about those pansy walleye. Slap on a leader, a big honkin lure, set the motor to troll at 6 mph and go get yourself a big'un!
  3. there's a little waterfall where the seguin river goes under the train bridge, lots of smallies there. Also, along the fitness trail not far from there you can cast out and easily reach cabbage fields in 10 feet of water that drops down to 20
  4. my son has the same bib...oh ya, heck of a report/photos too
  5. whenever I fished Jordan i went to live bait...leave it in their face long enough and they'll find it

    Vacation

Remember these 3 important things: 1) You're on vacation (man I need one bad) 2) The kids are having fun (that makes life easier)! 3) 3 inch fish make for nice bait (assuming that's legal of course)
  7. Nice report! Hey 3 firsts means 3 personal bests in a day! Not too bad. Best part is next one of each of these species you catch will probably be another personal best
  8. what everyone else said. 3 mph is for pickerel
  9. great looking fish! I was at Port Dalhousie (if that's the Port D you're referring to) but all I caught was a sore butt from the merry go round
  10. no doubt fishing partners that show up late and fishing partners that make you fear for your life every time they cast
  11. a little bit from column A...a little bit from column B I'd say
  12. very true. Also, since we've had a baby, there is no time to fish
  13. CARIB
  14. oh ya, and replace "Smelly and Corky" with Pamela Anderson/Jessica Simpson in Hipwaders
  15. yup, bring back scuttlebum lodge any day
  16. Nice report and photos. You said you got an injury from a pike. I have a bit of advice to prevent future injury - take hooks out of fishes mouth before posing for photo! A thrashing pike with hooks embedded in your hand (or leg if you drop the slimy bugger) is no laughing matter. As well, if it takes you a while to get the hooks out, then you may decide not to pose for photo so that the fish can swim away healthy. If hooks pop right out, take time to pose (or if you plan on keeping the fish anyways)
  17. hot dogs...fish love em and so do I

    !

congrats on that elusive 50! Sounds like a day of a lifetime
  19. nice looking fish! I'd say a little over 3 pounds and 18.5 inches in length
  20. Yup, typically for casting, but the biggest musky I ever caught came on an almost identical bucktail while trolling. Pike and bass love em too. If you're going for the big game though, make sure you are prepared with bolt cutters, large net, good quality leaders/terminal tackle, heavy pound test line...it never ends. My suggestion is don't get into musky fishing, get rid of that lure right now (send it to me and I will save you a lot of money )
  21. Great report and photos. Gotta love that 5 of diamonds. My 2 biggest walleye came on 5 of diamonds, both times while pike fishing
  22. LOL I knew I could count on you Joey
  23. one heck of a bass, congrats on the new p/b. Best part is, if you keep fishing Simcoe you'll break that record.
  24. I wouldn't tow a bag of marshmallows with a ford Focus just kidding. I've been towing a 14' Lowe with platform, livewell, console, 25 hp etc with a 4 cylinder celica without a problem for years...notice I said towing isn't a problem, launching can occasionally be an experience though
  25. don't recall ever seeing as much poor quality weed as this year ...funny how things taken out of context can be given a totally different meaning nice fish though, good to see that they can heal nicely too after some pretty ugly ulcerations
