  1. I've always loved that "we represent you so we are looking after your best interests" crap. The agent wants the quickest sale, which means less time invested, less advertising invested etc. Nobody had an agent try and get them to drop their asking price? We had our house listed last year, although we did not really need to move, only if the offer was good. We told the agent this before "signing on". For the next 3 months, we heard the "drop your price" schtick over and over, even though we had clearly stated our goals, and expected price, before signing up.
  2. methinks I missed something...again
  3. its either smallies, or as doogles would call them "the mighty shoal carp" (musky) for me. No time to expand my horizons
  4. ...classic. Go to scugog. Attach bucktail. Cast and retrieve like a son of a bootch all day. Same rule applies for the other weedy Kawartha lakes.
  5. nice report, and I'd agree about 6 mile. I used to fish there 15 years ago and it was quite reliable at that time too. Glad to hear it is still producing
  6. Lake Dalrymple...infested with pike. Canal lake...ditto
  7. Great report JB! Man I love the markings on those small muskies.
  8. zoinks, don't go in the water! Those are some serious fish. Very nicely done.
  9. ...just try to stay in your boat this time Spiel. Its all we, or the poor fish that have to live in that water, can ask.
  10. glad you feel that way, personally I feel stupider (see, that's not even a word) every time I visit
  11. wow that's great to see, very nice photos
  12. the camouflage my friend, that's why she out-fished you. Those snotrockets are wiley beasts, Kelli just blended right into their environment
  13. definitely a good call on not making up the sign! Better call would have been releasing the fish right away, but hey, live and learn. Sounds like you had a good day with the water pretty much to yourself.
  14. oh man I had totally forgotten about that. I do remember that my suggested bait every time the question was raised was HOT DOGS...and I stand by that. Nothing beats a big honkin frank with a treble through it for GTA bass.
  15. when the old lady with the walker on shore blows past you you're definitely underpowered
  16. I actually looked at your photos this time, lots of nice spots on those fish. I'd say several are from St. Clair rather than Babaganouche
  17. Sneaky Pete, who'd you borrow those fish off? Every time I talk to you you were skunked Methinks Lew might be the cameraman for those photos on infamous Lake Babaganouche
  18. I still stink and its been a week since I caught one of the slimy buggers. Other than that, pretty good I guess.
  19. mudskipper. How many fish can run away from you after you catch them?
  20. great report! Glad to see I'm not the only one being bothered by incidental pickerel. Beauty fish.
  21. Johnny B...I smashed that one just for you! I gotta admit, I was pretty surprised to see that fish surface. Pickerel, especially big ones, aren't too common up there.
  22. Sweet fish and report. I especially like the part about the "rod buckled over". Seems like every Walleye I catch fights like a wet dishrag...they make hammerhandles look like Hercules. Then again, I'm usually catching them on 50 or 80 lb powerpro. I have to target these ferocious fish more often!
  23. Good times. Should have tried for some carp on the ultralight gear! Probably tow you all over the lake, or at least the swampy areas of the lake.
  24. Sweet mother of pearl that's a big rock bass. Haven't seen one that big since I was a kid (weren't they all that big 30 years ago, or did they just seem that big?). Either way, when that rocker goes in to the death spiral you've got a fight on your hands.
  25. Black flies weren't too bad. Fortunately there was a breeze that day and a lot of the black flies are pretty much done now. The mosquitoes at the launch at 8 a.m were just stupid though. I brought a bug hat but only needed it at the launch
