We used the bamboo poles when fishing from shore or from the nearby bridge... The green line came in a paper wrapper from the local hardware store...cost a quarter I think...back in the 40's...

MMMmmm...spring bullheads...My granddad and I used to catch them using a "bob" (about twenty dew worms sown on a strong thread stringer then tied into a ball...no hooks)...we used a four foot stick with about the same amount of heavy green cord attached and tied the ball of worms to that...We would anchor in about three feet of water at dusk and when you felt a bite you just lifted the catfish into the boat...seems they won't let go until they touch sumpin'...Dumped them in our "live box" near shore and took out a dozen or so anytime we felt like having fish for dinner...

We drove by that corner twice today and I didn't notice any bait and tackle shop...I know Kawartha bait and tackle is one block east of that corner on Queen St... Did they change their name...?

I use my senior citizen card the federal government sends you just to remind you that you are getting old...

X2 Congrats on C&Ring that 15 3/4 incher...good brood stock... Crappieperchhunter has a size limit in his boat...must be between 9 to 12 inches...everything under/over goes back...if it is an exceptional good day the size limit becomes 10 to 12 inches...

Reminds me of when Maribeth and Maureen met me at the bus stop with this mangy piece of scruff...Riley !!! All I could ask was "Why didn't you get a real dog " I came to love him after time...and was quite upset when we had to have him put down...he had a good home for over ten years...

You just described the same problem I was having with my 9 year old LG Fridge...water running down the inside of the fridge area from the freezer and ending up on the floor near the door opening side...come to think of it I haven't noticed any water for quite a while unless it is leaking out the back of the fridge...what was the $10 fix ?...Thanks
