  1. Troll'in.. troll'in.. troll'in on the river !
  2. It's a long weekend.... I sure wouldn't know...
  3. Don't forget to wipe your feet bud! Glad to see some provincial building in Ontario cares about germ share as the hospitals sure don't!
  4. To the best of my knowledge that island has been private land for decades and many just assumed it was crown land. You were trespassing in days past like many others, they just won't tolerate it anymore. Lots of land like that in Ontario where "I use to take my kids there to picnic.. and suddenly someone put up a fence". Check out the MNR land atlas and next time you'll know what you're on.
  5. Happy Birthday old fella !
  6. Everything that was available that close along the 400 has been posted no parking... the hwy ditches changed so you can't get off and park in the grass etc to use the crown around 6 mile, McCreary, Gibson, etc. unless you really do your homework.
  7. He did not have a canoe Big Guy.. he was on foot as far as his parents know.
  8. Well I guess when it jumps out of the water and smacks you in the face... while you're doing 30mph... you'll be happy it didn't jizz on you as well!
  9. Well, no chemo today for Jennifer. I had to get my buddy (Dr) over to the house yesterday to investigate Jen's little cough. She has pneumonia and he is treating her here at home, with our local hospital under a Cdiff lock down. Hopefully she's good to go for next Wednesday, so that we can get back on track at trying to beat this bugger back!
  10. Jen's in the new Blackberry Advertisment!

  11. Thanks for sharing the weekend Bernie!!! Always great to put your feet up on someone else's coffee table from time to time!
  12. Does JB's not carry it?? I had a Frabill.. switched to the Stowmaster folding myself with the "tennis bag".
  13. I can't say that here Rick.. they ban for less !
  14. Maybe it's just the boat... he never napped in mine!!
  15. Never ate a Rooster... but Hen tastes good !
  16. Cool... ...so they make a shirt now so that the fish don't see you coming!
  17. Waypoint 134.. 135... 136... 137 My lowrance don't give me names...
  18. Dave's got it... the Opti runs the same props and assembly as the Verado. ...and by the way, that prop should come off every year to check for line, corrosion, relube of splines and back together. I have to do that anyhow on the Verado as the drain plug for the lower unit is behind the prop.
  19. Don't you hate when people you know purposely ignore you! And don't slap that Ford to hard, I know all too well that they dent very easily.
  20. "jump, tuck and roll" always worked for me between Smiths Falls and Jasper... I'm pretty sure Solo made mention of such train arrangements at one time, I'm sure he or someone else will chime in soon enough.
  21. Glad you're getting in some fun Mike! Not many deserve such outings as you do ! Great underwater shots... you should do a book!
  22. LOL.. we use to leave Consumers Glass at 11pm off the afternoon shift (1984).. take our spots under the bridge, with our mickey, and fish all night. Oh the good old days. Have fun Chris if you can pull it off... a tad too far for me these days. As for a permit.. to fish on public property.. hmmm
  23. What glue did you use Terry.. it will be the next question !
  24. Thanks Dave and all you other "cheerleaders". As for composure... have your ever watched a duck CLOSELY. Fever watch is running later into the week than her last chemo types. Yesterday morning... 38.1c.. only 0.1 away from a trip to emerg and admittance. Fortunately she came back down to around 37.5 and has stayed there since... so that is great but she's not out of the woods just yet. Generally at least a 3 day cycle.. time will tell. So looks like heading North for us is out of the equation, to retrieve a long lost boat and airplane as well as winterizing camp. Hopefully I get there sometime before things freeze in. Stuck at home hasn't been a total loss at least... Leah is finally getting her Master Bath after 16 years of waiting. One more day of cutting and mortaring in tile to go and then I get the fun of grouting the bugger!
  25. Not familiar with those two Bruce.. amazingly enough though all this.. but when she gets to the Taxotere (or Docetaxel will probably be on the bag).... it will crash her white counts and she'll be given Neulasta or Neupogen needles to try to protect her immune system. Neulasta is $2814 a needle (for 0.6ml!)... so make sure in advance of getting to this stage that you find someone to help you find a program that will fund it to (hopefully at 100%) some extent for you. The Neupogen regime is usually 10 needles over 10 days.. somewhere around the $1200 mark. Bone ache is the downfall of at least the Neulasta. Warm baths seem to help Jen get through... Another thing... no matter who / why or how much they want to visit. NOBODY comes in that house door that can't guarantee they are 100% healthy. I don't care if they are family or not. Nobody seems to take that seriously... until you've spent a couple of 4 day gigs back in the hospital with Febrile Neutrpenia. Then at least you will take it real serious... the people knocking at the door still think it's no big deal. We finally put a sign on ours... even with that people still find humour in it somehow ... "I'll just keep my hands in my pockets" doesn't cut it. Hand sanitizer at your door entrance.... use it everytime 'till your hands have long dried out and cracked apart.
