  1. Well at least it's just Mother Nature that's after you Cliff! Still sucks, but I can deal with that one!
  2. Then you'll need an Ontario licence to cover the time period!
  3. Slap a booster cable between trailer frame and the vehicle frame and solve that issue pretty quickly.
  4. Not so Craig.. you can fish the Ontario side of the Ottawa in a boat with a Quebec licence.
  5. Electric trailer brakes work on momentum.. to tell the controller how much brake to put on Albert. Now if you activate the controller unit manually.. it should put the brakes on proportionally to how far you push the slider control.
  6. The only place you could fish with a Quebec licence would be the Ottawa River and you'd have to be in a boat!
  7. LMAO... he's sure paid for one by now! Something to give some serious thought too.... ... great outing Mike!
  8. HMMM.. so once upon a time someone else drank whiskey in that exact same spot...
  9. Come on Terry... you know it's not complete! Now you need the second battery and the charging isolator that the dealer should have put in... more trolling spoons... more track accessories.. auto pilot... A very nice riding boat... as I can say I have had the honour ! ...btw.. did you get the gas tank with the 9.9 ? They come into the dealer with tank and they usually grab them and throw them on the store shelf after hooking your motor up to the boat tank.
  10. Come'on Mike... Danna supplies me with better pictures! Congrats on your PB!
  11. Is what I do as well FT... I tilt my kicker up a bit on the hydraulic and then ratchet strap it to the back of the trailer to stop the bounce during the tow. Be cautious and note that "transom savers" relocate the movement and forces to the engine hinge and it you slam on the brakes and the boat moves forward at all it will also push your motor up as well. Good advise on speed bumps and going into parking lots... all stuff you have to think about before you do them, not different than towing an RV trailer or driving a motorhome. The only place I saw a 7" Plus speed bump though was the 16" wedges in St. Marteen and they sure were fun in the jeep!! (as long as you made it from one to the other in the air)
  12. Nothing wrong with splitting wood by hand.. the way my mother did it... I've been doing 2 of these truck loads a day for the last week or so and find it's actually about twice to three times as fast as using the hydraulic splitter (and a great stress reliever to boot) A bush cord per truck... that's not mine btw or I wouldn't be loading it like that! lol Good to see you enjoying Life Chad... many could learn a thing or two here as you venture forward!!
  13. A and W crap... lol.. at least it's better than "BigSmokeBurgers" that is at the first service centre heading North out of the City. $14 for a cheeseburger for Jen on Thursday night!
  14. Can't believe the story Roy... you're much too young to be a great grandpa... well at least J is... (Congrats!)
  15. George knows that it's part of the game!!
  16. Gives her a reason to come see you each Sunday Lew... so you can power wash her wheels!!
  17. Thanks folks... and she's even still smiling tonight after a 1/4 of her hair fell out, while getting her hair done for a "living with cancer" coffee table book photo shoot this morning.... and she knows since it fell out from Radiation it may not come back.
  18. Well good luck with that one... but I've learned to listen in a whole different way and have no issue asking them to slow their speech down a tad or even write it down for me!
  19. Ask questions Bruce and tell him you can wait in the room 'till he comes back with the answers. Remember... you're the customer. Sounds odd, but you are. The resident / fellow's boss is there somewhere, probably just seeing another patient. We've been there.. done that similar to your today.. but after 3 years of this we don't leave unless we know what we came in for, although there are indeed some questions we never ask as with some things knowing isn't the best avenue to take.
  20. Man.. I can see my house from there!! BTW.. the Lakair shots have been done by someone else in the past!!
  21. Thanks for the thoughts guys... just back from the big smoke. Took 2 days more than I expected but Jen wanted to hit Edgefest with her VIP tickets last night, in the pouring rain, and a support group meeting at 6pm tonight at Charles and Yonge. At least I found street parking on Church and an Irish Pub on Isabella so that Leah and I could have supper while she was at her meeting for 2 hours. Good news... as previously mentioned.. before we even got to her consult on Tuesday we already knew her forward skull tumour had reduced significantly from feel alone (even more over last weeks report) and hope that the other 3 spots have done the same from the radiation last week. The bad news... the CT's from last Monday morning show two new lesions on one of Jen's lungs. She starts a new chemo next Wednesday. In on Wednesday morning for one chemo. Then back again the following Wednesday for that chemo plus another different chemo the same day. Back on the $2700/ needle anti infection medicine again after each chemo, so if she goes the full 8 months it will be over $60,000 worth of needles, in comparison to the $27,000 during her pelvic bone chemo. She's changing VISA cards this week to a higher "cash back" card to get the most out of that. Still staying positive that she's going to kick this monster somehow... todays smiles came from seeing her physio gals (that took a shot and got her walking again) 3 day old baby!
