  1. I wear costas with the 580 lense as well. Best pair of shades I've owned. I don't remember the frame style but like timmeh said, I went to BPS, tried different styles & picked the one that fits me best -- it's all the same glass. For me it was important that they fit around without much light sneaking in through the gaps. Ebay is where I ended up getting mine for a nice discount.
  2. I like replacing trebles on small cranks with appropriate size single siwashes. Frees up the lures.
  3. get a lowrance.
  4. I'd be selling it too.. after a couple of WOT runs of course. Not my kinda boat.
  5. help edumacate me: why is the fact that it spins forever or easily so important for float reels?
  6. going south to fish the zoo that is simcoe just seems so backwards. put it on the bay or the multitude of puddles around there/muskoka.
  7. that's what i am talking about cuzza, elise and caterham.
  8. Nein! drive wheels propel the car from the rear, front wheels steer. place the motor behind the driver while you are at it too. I get where you're coming from though Bill. It's just not a fun place.
  9. one major issue, it's wrong wheel drive.
  10. not a huge authority on braid on spinning reels however, i can tell you that i don't like fireline. it frays extremely easily.
  11. Cars are getting heavier and heavier. They do more of the driving for you, systems like Traction Control, Active Steering, christ they can park themselves now. I personally don't like it all, I want a driver's car - Lighter, raw, manual transmission and RWD.
  12. another vote for the tacoma in this class. you do pay a premium for them however.
  13. I caught about a 30" fish on a 13" suick this wknd.
  14. with all due respect to the two of you, you have to admit the fishery you utilize is very unique to the rest of ontario. the lures and techniques you employ on LSC are quite often entirely different than the other fisheries.
  15. if you're casting, a 10" suick (or any jerkbait) if you're trollng, a 10" jake or 9" grandma just some of my non-blade favourites no matter the time of year. i wouldn't put away the blades just yet though, esp. after a few days of warm weather.
  16. that's definately better than yelling bingo!
  17. if i worked at yonge/eg and cottaged in parry hoot i'd be lookin for a home along the 400 towards barrie. esp with the go service now. from caledon you're kinda euchred. the 410 is a cluster.... as you go through brampton. you might be able to get away with cutting across over top of the city to hwy 50, then down to the 407 if tolls are acceptable or even the 400. or drive to georgetown to the go terminal there. i think even if you moved to barrie, your commute would not be any longer than from caledon.
  18. that's a good link spirit of fishing provided and supports what i thought.. the v8 gets better mileage on the hwy than the v6. looking at the dakota specs it appears as though the v8 comes with the same 45FRE 5 speed auto tranny as in my Jeep vs the 4 speed 42RLE in the v6. THe 45FRE is a good trans and widely regarded as the tougher of the two when it comes to towing/abuse. something else to consider in favour of the v8 since you'll be towing.
  19. you wont be sacrifice gas mileage with the v8 on the highway or towing. in fact, i'd argue you'll get better mileage in those two situations, particularly towing. in the city, yes,the v8 will be thirstier. get the v8. these are my observations after going from a 4.0L I6 Jeep to a 4.7L V8 Jeep.
  20. will you take the lint in my bellybutton for the st croix?
  21. i'm guessing its headed for their garden nobody is that hungry.
  22. i suspect what you saw was not turnover - it's still a little early. i notice a lot of lakes turn around thanksgiving when temps hit 50s. perhaps big wind mixed the water up a little. post turnover is any time after that happens.
  23. crazy stuff it's a real good thing that guy ran back to shut the door on his vehicle.
  24. I am on my 2nd set of Firestone Destination A/Ts on a 2nd vehicle (both Jeeps) Would recommend these tires to anyone. Handle snow, dirt, even mud to a degree (those obvoisly not like a M/T tire) and on the highway are nice & quiet. You'd never know they're an AT and they are priced well. my opinion is that the Michelin LTX ATs are just about the worst tire for anything but pavement (which they are great at) - they are terrible off road.
  25. my lowrance elite gold was under 500 with the great lakes/trent severn chip at the fishing show last winter. got it from radio world. you can buy at toy (hummingbird) or you can buy a tool (lowrance) that's my 0.02 on the leading brands.
