  1. nice rig! tiller.
  2. ok i may have made the fish a little bigger a flooded capitol hill didn't give it away?
  3. there's your problem if it has a setting for reducing surface clutter, try that.
  4. i've never had an issue the rare time i had to deal with them but, living in the gta i'd just drive over to the office on matheson in mississausage. never bothered with the phone.
  5. Navico 919 Matheson Blvd E, Mississauga L4W 2R7, ON p: 9056291614
  6. you can buy a trolling motor 'bracket' that wraps around your trolling motor and attaches the transducer. or you can use electrical tape and a piece of wood to support the transducer. don't epoxy, glue, weld, or anything like that.
  7. Aikmans services Quantums as well. Hwy10/Hwy5 in Mississausage.
  8. I donno, you're pretty scrappy Roy.
  9. get the map gpfisher mentioned, get a fishfinder and a gps and go slow
  10. if you want to just get the drop-in filter - that's one thing but the entire "CAI" k&n 'kit' - don't waste your time. especially if you drive in dusty/off road places. just extra noise and poorer filtration. don't believe the hype. as far as the exhaust, i'd wait for the stock one to rust out before moving up. typically a free-ier flowing exhaust adds power up high in the rpm band (where you don't use it day to day) and sometimes takes away down low. unless you're taking it to the drag strip, i'd forego the drone on the highway. if you insist, magnaflow are good. get a shop to bend you the piping. make sure its mandrel bent not crush bent. it'll likely be cheaper than the pre-fabbed turnkey stuff and as good if not superior quality.
  11. happy with my mirrocraft - although i've been on many different brands, i am somewhat new to boat ownership.
  12. one or two 5 gallon pails work good too
  13. I think that makes the program worthwhile - getting kids involved/educated about our resources and at the same time them having a good time. Good on you for getting involved as well.
  14. something with a very short lifespan so I can roll the dice again and come back as something better.
  15. the rate is based on what you deem the replacement value to be. I pay just over 300 for a 2000 14.5 and a 2010 yamaha 40 4-stroke.
  16. you dont need a fancy rod it's spending most of its time in the rod holder anyway - 8'6" to 9'6" MH dipsy rod. i've used the cabelas house brand and they're good. the reel is where you need to focus on. The okuma (provided it's at least a 30 series) will work, the others are propably akin to bringing a knife to a gun fight.
  17. i would go garmin. the difference between navionics and garmin's mapsource is that in the end, there is no difference - at least in terms of coverage/detail. they are both sourced from the same hydrographic/topographic info.
  18. Brian, Ed is a good guy and you shouldn't be afraid to ask him for what's been working. Afterall, who better to ask than the guy who lives on the river from May to Thanksgiving. It's also obviously in his interest that you leave happy (and come back next year).
  19. fish the moving water. especially this year. you'll likely have company. you will not find much in the way of weeds up there just yet.
  20. the 8' st. croix glass trolling rod is the best trolling specific rod i've found. sometimes i wish it were 9'. but outlaw is right, if you wanna save a few bucks get a heavy dipsey rod, it'll work for 95% of the baits out there.
  21. the clarus line is solid. i haven't used that particular model but own others and no complaints.
  22. your boat is not a tiller, pls trade in your card.
