Dave542 I think some of the other guys pointed out a few interesting things. I remember a while ago they canned a women, I think her name was Cletheroe or something like that. She walked away with something like $6 million. Where do you get fired and set up for life at the same time? Anyways, the whole thing is a mess.

Great. It doesn't really help me to try and save either. I can't get my usage any lower, the delivery + charges are more than my actual usage. I wish one political party would come in and say the rates would be reduced if I was voted in. Not going to happen though.

Female Angler Lands Monster 55" Lake St. Clair Muskie
jimmer replied to JustinHoffman's topic in General Discussion
So jealous! I've been looking for one of those all my life! -
They WON, onto the next series. Hopefully no more throwing beer cans. Swear, yell, whatever, don't hurt your fellow fans.

Got to feel for those two lefties. How often do you get to the MLB playoffs. Cecil gone for the season and Loup gone for personal reasons (must be something serious). I like the thought of Dickey coming in for relief after Stroman, not sure if it would be the right move or not, but it should sure screw the hitters up.

Your wife said it's your call, so include her in the decision. You are a team and both will have important input on making the right decision for your family. I know personally, money isn't everything. Time to spend with family (you have a lot) or enjoy my hobbies weighs out over money every time. You have to be able to pay the bills though.

I read this whole thread and I'm not any clearer on who to vote for either. I have never had a problem putting and X beside one of the names, but like Cliff said, this one seems different. Knowing some of the people running locally doesn't help either. I do know I can't afford to have a Liberal government come in, they are good at finding ways to raise taxes, licenses, fees (tried to tax docks on the Trent the last time they were in), etc. I believe most people that vote this way have a very good income that can handle the increases; I can't. Harper is Harper and I never really looked at him as a strong enough personality to be a leader. It's amazing how many people I speak to who support his views. I can't ever remember voting conservative. Mulcair ??? don't know what to think. I'm not sure if people get into politics for the right reason anymore. Just my views, right or wrong. It just goes to show you how diverse our Country is after reading this thread! Good luck with you voting, I might have to go with one of the fringe parties.

Worked in manufacturing out of school, then into plumbing (hurt my back) couldn't do it anymore, then taxidermy (not enough income), decided to go to college in my mid 30's and have worked in the social service field (case manager, teacher and management) for 20 years. If I could do it over, I would have went to school to become a Building Inspector and get a job with a municipality. Many municipalities are having a hard time finding inspectors as the original group retires. Guys in construction make more in the field, but it is usually a good wage with benefits and pension.

I dream of the day I no longer have to burn wood. We go through about 3 bush cords a year and I won't miss the work of stacking then lugging into the house. My wife loves it though and does most of the stacking.

None of this should be a surprise to any of us. Mismanagement runs wild.

That's amazing and a great pay cheque to boot!

The lake is fairly narrow in places and if anglers don't see the hunters they are fishing a couple hundred feet in front of the blinds.

Idiots. My son (2 years old at the time) and I almost got shot by a hunter that did this. He just waited until we were out of sight, but the pellets still blasted through the trees and almost hit us. I went running down there and the guy just took off without saying anything. I called the cops, but they said there wasn't much they could do once he was gone. He was shooting at one green wing teal. It was a battle field out on Pigeon with all the hunters and anglers out there at the same time.

This Leaf fan is still hoping they bottom out for a chance at the Matthews kid in June. It will be interesting to see what Babcock can get out of these guys. I hope Reilly doesn't get damaged with a season they are heading into. I have a neighbour who thinks they will be great and make it to the playoffs, always the optimist and typical Leaf fan.

I would say that you are better off targeting muskie at this time of the year. The bass seem to have a small window for the feed, first thing in the morning would be best for them, then switch over to the lunge. Don't underestimate a jig on the weed lines for muskie.

Wow, I feel the same way Ciff. Never thought I would reach this point, due mostly to the privilage status that has been afforded to me by all the veterans who fought so hard for our right to vote. I met a woman in Minden who just wrote in Jesus' name and voted for him. Not my route but I guess it got the message across to the one person that probably saw it. The leaders of our Country should be some of the smartest and brightest people of our Country, yet they can't even balance their bank book. I will probably skip the vote this year. I see local people running for parties that they wanted nothing to do with in the past. That tells me they are career driven and really has nothing to do with making this a better and more affordable place to live.

An air filter and cabin filter are two different things, but both easy to change yourself. The repair shops are trying to make some money off of you, no surprise there.

I think about making something like that every year. Sounds like a great price if it's the right stuff.

And always have them come to you otherwise you can find yourself waiting for nothing. Lew approached it perfectly. (One kijiji experience) Handing out a cell phone number resulted in endless texts until I finally had to be rude to some degree. One can only answer so many questions about a vehicle for $1000..

I agree, but adding fees or giving certain people preference doesn't agree with me. I gave up on that place many years ago. Lots of good ideas on this thread that could be used to solve the problem. However, restricting fishing to only those that live on the lake I reside on sounds good to me. Just kidding, of course.

No way should they be able to administer a municipal fishing license, it will just open the door for every municipality throughout Ontario to do the same thing. Imagine the funds that Lake Simcoe would generate in the winter? Close it down if it's town property or enforce the present laws with heavy fines.

Sweet, always nice to get a new PB.

2 Top Bass tourney competitors caught red-handed
jimmer replied to big guy's topic in General Discussion
I would say that it's 99.9% probable that they cheated in all the tournaments this year. Why would they cheat with consistent weights like they had weighed in during the past 3 tournaments. -
I have also been seeing a lot of them this year. Sometimes in the strangest places.

You do realize that you can't keep any eating size walleye on Nipissing? Enjoy if you're all catch and release though!
