  1. I heard that the motors they build now are just not expected to get the same number of hours that the old ones used to get. Most of the old ones would last forever if cared for properly.
  2. The lower number of walleye has resulted in people keeping more bass on the lake I live on. People are a lot more fishing educated now and this is going to have a lasting impact on all species. Eat pan fish and save the game fish for the sport on the lakes that are suffering from over harvesting. Those in the north probably don't see this ever happening, but........
  3. They do sell flush kits at CT with the various hose connectors that you would splice into the lines.
  4. That's a good way to sum up the Chretien era. I couldn't wait for him to be turfed, just like people can't wait for Harper to be turfed. I believe that there are many that don't mind having tax dollars wasted; they must just have too much. I just might not be voting this time, I don't like any of them.
  5. Picking a great lakes salmon for your first mount was a gutsy call. You should start with a walleye or bass. Where are you located? I have some high quality taxidermy magazines laying around that I would like to get rid of (free). I would even give you some pointers if you would like. I used to teach it at a local college and did it for over 25 years. I spend most of my free time fishing now.
  6. Not sure how any other party is going to be different. They answer to no one and are never held accountable. Maybe if one of these corrupt politicians actually ended up in jail, some integrity might creep back into the political world. I doubt they know what that word means though.
  7. And that's what scares the hell out of most people lookingforwalleye! Not much to choose from.
  8. I know a few places in Ontario that would have benefited from a decision like that a few years ago.
  9. There is only one way a discussion on politics is heading and that's up stream without a paddle.
  10. Looks like a great day. That first fish is beautifully marked.
  11. I see that life is tough for you. LOL That's a monster.
  12. I would also say to move into 12 -15 feet and use a drop shot with a senko. Don't be afraid to go deeper though.
  13. Most lakes within 2 hours of TO will be crazy busy.
  14. I'll always do it myself and make the time to avoid this type of situation. Man, I feel for you, those stories give me nightmares.
  15. So much for hooks rusting out quickly.
  16. Does that mean I will earn what Kathleen Wynne makes? :-)
  17. It had to be a complaint from someone. I doubt the bylaw officer found them without direction. Like others said, their hands were tied. Next step is for their council to make some changes.
  18. That was good news for sure. It's always scary bringing in an outboard for repairs. Have fun on the holidays.
  19. Closest lake for Pike would be Elephant and Baptiste Lakes.
  20. As a long suffering Leaf fan, I will wait and see where all this takes us before jumping for joy. They still need to dump some players to make sure they finish dead last next year for a chance at Auston Matthews.
  21. It would be quite the challenge to map the French River other than basic routes.
  22. Thanks guys. I'll call Frank in Bridgenorth.
  23. Does anyone know where I can get some Skinny Dippers in the Kawartha Lakes area? Thanks, Jimmer Shoot, I realized how that sounds after I posted it. They are a swim bait, not luscious women.
  24. You can't prevent everyone from doing things that can harm oneself; that's called a police state. Most people that operated boats all their lives know when and where a lifejacket should be worn. I believe many of the drowning situations are renters and clueless of the risks involved with boating until it's too late.
