  1. Humanity says we should do whatever possible to help the innocents that are being terrorized. I am going to suffer from Government deficits until I retire with nothing, but I like living in a country that helps others in need. Hopefully there might be some help for me when I need it. I am naïve - not really. It's good to help though.
  2. Cliff, do you mind if I ask how much your delivery charges are compared with your usage? I know we live in relatively the same area and I have always shook my head at our bills. I see that you use propane for your stove and hot water, which is probably why your bills are lower than mine.
  3. Our delivery charges are as much as our usage.
  4. If your MPP is a liberal, you will be wasting your time talking to him/her unless you like listening to rhetoric. I feel like a lamb being lead to the.............
  5. I think most of us have the same concerns. I have 1300 ft square home, one level, heat strictly with wood, one baseboard on lowest setting in my work shop, same drying technique you use, two small freezers, electric hot water. Our bills are usually over $300 month in the winter. However our actual usage is around $150, but climbs to over $300 because of all the extra charges.
  6. Nice to see people out on the water still. Great catch!
  7. Walleye stocking doesn't work.
  8. What's with all the MNR denials? I don't understand this reaction from them when there have been numerous sightings.
  9. I just move on when idiots do this to me. I leave in a loud and turbulent manner though.
  10. This is one of me at Sturgeon Lake back in the 60's. The boat on the left is one my father built from scratch.
  11. Maybe Stamkos will make the leap????
  12. This team should be competing for the Cup. They don't deserve to add any more first overalls into that losing environment.
  13. Nice looking fish and good on you for getting out.
  14. An interesting shot from my collection of photos.
  15. Another Sudbury photo. This was my uncle Mike who I have been compared to in regards to being hooked on fishing. I never did get a chance to fish with him. He died young.
  16. This was from the Sudbury area just after the war. Different time, different mentality.
  17. Always think of my dad when this day comes around. He never really spoke much about the war, but I do have photos to remind me of his commitment.
  18. That's not hunting, that's just killing. Man, I think technology is taking the fun out of many outdoor sports. This is coming from an older guy of course, so the young ones might feel more comfortable with the newer approaches.
  19. Beauty looking smallies. Looks like the lake was nice and quiet.
  20. Back to hockey. The Leafs are right where I want them. Playing in close games but still losing. One more high draft pick and things might start looking up in the not too distant future. I can dream.
  21. My wife and I went through this with our son. We seemed to be up every couple of hours. Our pediatrician said that if he had a full belly that we should ignore and he would go back to sleep. We covered our heads with a pillow and listened to him cry for over an hour. It was the hardest thing we ever did, but he went back to sleep and the crying was less frequent every time he woke, until he was finally sleeping through the night. It took a couple of days, but we were finally over the up every 2 hour shift.
  22. Enough already! That is something else; some real lucky people to experience something that most of us can only dream about.
  23. The 5 I caught on Saturday and Monday were all shallower than 8'
  24. Congratulation. You should get quite a few meals out of that girl.
  25. Took a break from muskie fishing and hit a lake in Haliburton County. Spent the whole day in a t-shirt out on the boat. How could we ask for anything else in November? Mainly targeted bass and we boated about 20 of them. Mostly largemouth and all between a pound or two. They seemed to like the white twister tail, but also caught some on a drop shot with a gulp leech. Tried deeper water with the drop shot for smallies and caught a few, then got this surprise out of 25' of water. Let it go, even though they are open all year in this lake.
