  7. im 30 years old and have a 20 month old son. I work 60-70 hours a week. Put about 60-70 thousand kms an year on the car. The last thing i want to do is go hang out at a fishing club when i am already missing out on so much family and friend time. I bet most people my age feel the same way and alot are in the same position. Plus.......I can get all the information i need right here on OFC lol With the wide variety of info avaible on the net the only club that i see increaseing in participatents is the ones where cloths come off and have table dances. Cheers!
  8. i second the moon river. good fishing and great scenery. not sure but i think some parts of the moon are open may 1st. closer to gbay opening. check the regs it could be tricky Cheers!
  9. wow that is an amazing story. im sure glad it turned out like it did and not tragic. when kids are involved its always more scary. cheers!

  11. time for better gaurd rails over that bridge lol what a lucky guy cheers!
  12. i ahev found them to be high on alot of products. gulp was almost 2 bucks higher then bronte outdoors and grimsby tackle. Spinner baits were the same. I did like the staff there but not enough to keep me coming back. good to hear its not just me. Cheers!
  13. i disagree with what anyone says negative about richard peddie. Here is why. MLSE is a business and he makes them money year after year. If i owned mlse he would be my number one guy and I would love the guy! As for the hockey operations? It starts with jfj and goes down. this year and next year you need to sell off for draft picks and prospects and rebuild like pittsburgh has, chigaco is doing. Then when you have a good group of young players then go get a couple key veterens in the free agent market to complete the team and compete for the cup. It really is that simple, however dont expect a winning product for another 4 seasons. It happens all the time around that league. Leaf fans are always wanting "this year" and in realitly its better to sacrifice sometimes to get something better in return at a later date. Cheers!
  14. you get less time for murder lol Cheers!
  15. very sad news! my thoughts are with the family and friends of this man.

I have a 42 inch samsung and its been great but i was warned that the bulb may go on it as well so its not just the hitachi its all of them. Cheers!
  19. actually you have a chance at doing my dream fishing vactaion in southern ontario. If you are coming from the east coast then i would cross from eastern new york. You can fish the st lawrence river for a couple days i recommend the ganaque-Brockville area of the thousand islands. All species of fish. From there i would move north on 417 into our capitol Ottawa. You can fish the ottawa river up to pembroke and catch huge musky, good numbers of walleye bass and catfish. from pembroke i would travel down to higway 60 then across into what some say is our crown jewel alguinquin park! Lots of trout, bass and walleye fishing and great trails. the park is huge!!!! (maybe the size of maryland or bigger) I would exit the park at the west end around huntsville and head an hour north to North bay where you can fish Lake Nipissing for Bass, walleye, perch, muskie, pike etc..... I would also make the drive to the west end of nipissing to fish there for a couple days. the wind sweeped pines and rocks are totally awesome to look at. i think the OFC get together is on the west end at lakair 3rd or 4th weekend in june. After the west end i would head south on 69 and stop as much as possible along georgian bay. In my opionion gbay is one of the greatest bodies of water for muskie, bass, pike and walleye. After you fish gbay drive down the 400 to barrie and spend some time fishing for lake simcoe smallies! Huge 6 pound beasts are caught every week! From barrie I would head south on the 400 then west on the 401 to lake st clair in southwestern ontario. This lake has great muskie, walleye and bass fishing. Drive south to leamington (point pelee island park) and fish the western side of erie for a day or 2 and catch some great walleye and bass. while you are there spend some time at a great bar called the seacliffe. if you are lucky enough to be there a thursday night it is well worth the time spent if you dont mind looking at some nice eye candy for the evening lol. who would have thougth eye candy in leamington? trust me its there lol There is also a fish resturant on the way down to point pelee nat. park i believe it is called paula's? and it has all you can eat pickeral (walleye) i think wed nights. Incredible food! After you are done with the western side of erie I would head back to the eastern part of erie. Fish the fort erie buffalo area for smallies, walleye trout. Make stops in niagara falls or just east at the mouth and fish the niagara bar for all species. Head over to port credit on the north shore of lake ont. and fish the great salmon hunt! You are close to the big smoke. Toronto so dont stay to long lol. drive east on the 401 to bellville and fish the bay of quinte! Quinte has great bass, muskie pike and is famous for fall walleye. From belleville you are a couple hours to the border crossing and on your way home. This would be my dream southern ontario fishing trip. If you want to go on an even better trip you shoudl try to make the trip to northwestern ontario. although your looking at and extra 2 day drive just to get there. cheers!
  20. im glad the 2 of them are ok and back home! i hope for the friend they can fix him up and he can be back to normal as soona s possible. My thoughts are with your family!
  21. got to wonder if the it wont happen to me theory happened with this guy? unsafe ice all over southern ontario im actually surprised there hasnt been more guys missing so far this year. I hope he is ok and my thoughts are with his family!
  22. 16 in the summer can get pretty thin. the nicer pools in the summer are on bronte. watch the regs though some areas like lakeshore to rebacca is a santuary. I grew up fishing both and all the bigger bass I have caught have all been clsoer to the mouth. My biggest creek bass is a little over 4 pounds. I have personally seen and weighed a 6 1/2 pound smallie for a guy caught at the mouth of bronte in about 2 feet of water. the guy was casting a about 15 years ago i used to fish the 16 at glen abbey golf course before they were anal about walking the shores down there. There were a few decent pools but it is now at the point were its not worth the hassle. Same as lions valley, its closed this year for bridge construction but its so busy its more frustrating then enjoyable. personally though. the best river is the credit. 10-15 minutes down the road you are fishing one of the most underated rivers in ontario. It is heavily fished but if you find the right times it can be queit and a great time! Cheers!
  23. glad we are reading your report and not your obituary. play safe cheers!
  24. good for our boys!!! now to think we had 6 more kids that could have played but are in the nhl. shows how awesome canadians are at hockey! cheers!
