My first time hearing of this incident as well. Obviously this person has no intention of curbing his illegal fishing activities. Glad he was caught and punished accordingly.

Wish I lived a little closer to you Cliff. I have 3 kids that could use some odd jobs to keep them off the electronics. Drives me insane to see it. When I was their age, you couldn't keep me indoors no matter what the weather was like and the most I did was watch some TV before turning in for the night. I try to get them outdoors as much as possible, but it's a struggle. Wanted to take them to a kids fishing derby this weekend at a rod and gun club I belong to. All I heard was a bunch of groans. My son wants me to drive 1/2 hr. in the opposite direction to pick up his girlfriend or he won't go. He's minus a cell phone this morning. I always watched my dad and his buddies whenever they were working on something. Learned a lot this way. Fished with most of them too. Lots of stories to listen to. No one had a cell phone back then. People actually spoke to each other in person. If I can get up your way sometime Cliff, no problem helping you out anyway I can. Maybe leave the kids with some chores while we fish. Cheers ! Remo

My son is in the Air Cadets and I work with his squadron as well. We marched in a Remembrance Day Parade and Ceremony this past Sunday as we have for several years now. It always brings tears to my eyes thinking of what our soldiers endured and the sacrifice they made. I have an incredible amount of respect for our war veterans and our military personnel in general.

Always a hazard when something is on the roadway, especially at night. I always use ratchet straps when towing trailers with cargo. Never had anything fall or fly out of a trailer over the last 30+ years of driving. Glad you're ok lookingforwalleye.

I've had coyotes and wolves come to my calls while archery hunting for deer. They don't show much interest in the buck grunt, but show interest in a doe bleat. A fawn bleat, especially if you can make it sound like the animal is distressed, brings them in like truckers to a roadside diner.

I was there in July 2014. My youngest had a dance competition at Bally's. We stayed at the Paris next door. There's a hallway on ground floor between the two, so didn't have to venture outside in the heat much. Metro pizza is on the street behind Bally's. It's in the Ellis Island Casino. Sunday and Thursdau night was 2 for 1 pizza. 2 large pizza's will cost you roughly $20, and it's good pizza. Fed 5 of us and we had left overs for the next day too. Went to Walgreens or Walmart for snacks and drinks to keep in our room. Get away from the main strip and food prices come down dramatically. Bought bottles of wine at Walmart for $3/bottle and it was decent stuff. Same stores on the strip are much more $$$. We had a couple of dinners on the strip as well, but with 5 to feed, the bill was stupidly expensive for what we ate. Have a blast ! Cheers !!!

I remember when I was a little kid, my dad coming home with a few eels in a bucket. Never found out where him and his buddies went to catch them. I'll ask this weekend when I see him. Must have eaten them. I can't remember. There's not much I didn't eat when I was a kid. Matter of fact, that holds true in my adult life too. I have the belly to prove it.
