  1. There's 2 Krown locations within 4-5 km from home. Think I'll pop in and have a chat. Thanks again for the replies.
  2. No definite plans, but I'd like to give them walleyed buggers a try.
  3. Forget the fine. Impound the vehicle and force the driver to go to court. Even if it gets thrown out, a huge inconvenience and people with expensive cars don't want anyone messing with their toys.
  4. Very nice trout Brian. Congrats !
  5. Very nice trout Brian. Congrats !
  6. It doesn't look like any rustproofing had been done on the vehicle. It was a lease (CIBC), so I guess no reason for them to rustproof it if it was being returned to the dealer. I was leaning toward oil spray, so it looks as if I was on the right track. Thanks for all the replies.
  7. I just purchased a 2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee (diesel). Plan on keeping it for as long as I can, so I want rustproofing done on the body. Looking for some input and/or recommendations. I'm in Mississauga, ON. Thanks !
  8. Always great to get the kids out fishing. Cold water = perky pinks on the upper and "turtle like" symptoms below.
  9. Sweet fish. I think the muskie will be fine in Lake Simcoe. The only issue may be with competition from pike on the spawning areas, but they co-exist with pike on many other lakes. I'd love to see some hugo skis start coming out of Simcoe.
  10. Good shootin' Waterwolf. Congrats !!! I've been out a few times over the last ten years and haven't got one yet. Although, last year was by far the closest encounter. Had a jake walk right up to me and check me out. I could have hit him over the head with my shotgun. I was waiting on the big tom he was with, but never had the chance to get a shot off. Oh well. It sure was exiting even though I didn't bag a bird.
  11. Good job Oakvillebassguy. Admitting you made a mistake and apologizing.......... You da man !
  12. Good shooting Emil. Wish I had the time to get out there.
  13. Hope he gets well soon. Best wishes.
  14. Stuck in the backup the last 2 days. Not crazy about the traffic, but I understand their pains.
  15. I've been an OFAH member for about 20 yrs. I'm signed up for automatic yearly renewal. Heck, the Ontario Out of Doors magazine subscription alone is worth the annual membership . It also keeps me informed of what the OFAH is doing and some great articles and news items to be read. Every time I get a book of tickets for the lottery, I put my name and membership # on the stubs and return with the $$$ for the tickets. I don't even think about it. If I win something, great ! If I don't, I've done my bit to help. They are working for US to improve all aspects of hunting and fishing in Ontario. CHEERS !
  16. Congrats Chuck ! Hey lickmyarmpit, at least it wasn't your personal vehicle that took the hit. Ecmilley, was that a turkey that damaged your truck ? Did it get away ?
  17. I'm in.
  18. Eating rabbit for as long as I can remember, although I only have it a couple of times a year now when my mom makes it and saves me some. My grandparents raised them for years and it was always a treat when we went over on a Sunday for braised rabbit in white wine sauce. Mmmmmm !!!!
  19. No experience with this camp, but I wish you a good trip. We like pictures, so remember to add some with your report. Cheers !
  20. Graet job on the ice hut. We had issues with ours because of the weight and finally sold it last year. Cherish these moments with your father in-law. Take lots of pics and video. You won't regret it. I honestly think I'm the only person my father in-law like talking to. He was a quiet man. His kids would greet him, but never actually have a conversation with him. He would wait for me to visit when he had things to do around the house or just for my input. I would fix things as best I could with his very limited tool collection or return with my own arsenal to get the job done right. He called his 3 sons vagabonds. They were a waste of space in his eyes. I can't disagree !!! He passed away 6 years ago when my wife was 2 weeks away from giving birth to our 3rd child. She is the last of eight grandchildren. Now I'm left to deal with the waste of space by myself. Haven't spoken a word to one of the vagabonds for 4 years. I'll have to sit with them tomorrow evening for a relatives' wedding reception/dinner. Lucky me ! At least if my father in-law was there, I'd have someone at the table worth talking to besides my wife. I miss him dearly. To top it off, I'll be missing my daughter's first rep hockey playoff game.
  21. Awesome fish Mike. Congrats !
  22. It sure does look purdy.
  23. We've had transaction fees waived for years, but every year it seems the fees start again until we correct the problem. My wife just noticed service fees started up again over the last couple of months. She went into the bank an told them straight. "We don't pay service fees at this bank !" They reversed the charges immediately and said they would be continuing no service fee banking for us.
  24. Yeah, I kinda thought it sounded too good to be true. Thanks for the replies.
