I've had a CT Options credit card card for years. Last few have been the Mastercard Options version. I put most purchases on the card and right now have approx. $300 to spend at CT. It helps that I have a CT store and gas bar 2 minutes from home. No need to drive far for my gas and store purchases. I've used the money in the past for tires, sports equipment, etc.

Your mediocre fall walleye season is still impressive Cliff. I'll take any one of those fish in a season and be very happy. Thanks for sharing your pics of the pics.

Looks like a nice walk and the scenery is spectacular. A productive hunt is just a bonus. You should have walked through the river without boots, socks and pants. I did it to help a friend retrieve a deer in Nov. from across a southern Ontario river. Water was near zero degrees and the river was probably twice as wide as the one you crossed. Water was only up to our knees at max.though. Nice when you have dry clothes/boots to put back on. Wiped our legs and feet on some tall grasses to get rid of most of the water before getting dressed again. Thanks for the report and pics.

Awesome specimen. I'll stick to the public pools in the city for my swimming fix.

O'Brien's fish was caught in October 1988 if I remember correctly. I was fishing that area for a couple of weekends before and a few weekends after that fish was caught. For a reason I can't remember right now, we skipped the weekend that pig decided to chomp on a bait. The week after it was caught, I was shown a muskie wrapped in plastic in a large chest freezer by a rental cottage owner and was told it was the big beast. It was the only thing in the freezer and lay on an angle from corner to corner because it was too long to lay straight. Supposedly, it was awaiting some scientific testing, etc., etc. I couldn't understand why it was still there a week after it was caught ??? Could it have been a different ski ??? I didn't question it. Off to fish I went. The fish in this post is a monster. Congrats to the lucky angler.

SWEET !!! Congrats on a beauty fish dude.

I'm not a fan of mechanicals. I've always used fixed 130 grain Wasp broadheads and don't have any trouble with them. Most deer I shoot have 2 holes in them. One entrance and one exit. I've lost a couple because of bad shots due to the animal jumping the shot. It happens. Someone ate well on those deer, but it wasn't me. I'm much more careful about shot placement now and would rather pass up on a deer than take a chance on losing it. Keep after that deer. As long as you have a blood trail, you keep tracking. Ask permission to go retrieve the animal. I'm surprised you didn't already do that.

Got home about 11:15pm. My son wanted to do a bit of skating after the game. Erie was ahead 4 - 1 most of the game, but we managed a couple of late goals to make it close. 4-3 final. Good call Brian. Just got my gear ready & now I'm typing rather than sleeping. Gotta get some shut eye. Brian will probably be sleeping in the stand and the deer will walk right by him. Somebody has to be awake to do the shooting. cheers.

The only reason I haven't got my deer yet is because I haven't been out archery hunting except for an hour or so one evening. Saw a buck chasing 3 does across a field, but they were too far for a shot. Got his attention for a second, but he had other things on his mind. No worries Brian. If one of those wild mutts takes a snap at me, I'll teach him a lesson if front of all his buddies. (see signature) If all goes well, you'll have fresh meat in the freezer. I'm just not sure what species it will be. See you in the am. Saw three does in the yard yesterday... lmao ! You just had to rub it in didn't you Wayne. Gotta go. Taking the little guy to an OHL game at the Hershey Centre. Mississauga (St. Mikes Majors) vs. Erie Otters cheers

I watched 3 wolves chase a deer out into a field where I was bow hunting a few years ago. The smaller one was about the size of a full grown German Sheppard. The other two were more than twice that size. Not sure of the height. Deer went around a corner of the field and back into the bush. Two wolves followed her path and one doubled back to cut her off. I made a young deer call and two wolves came back to me, but they knew something wasn't right and walked away. Amazing to see them work, but gave me the creeps as I had to get down from the stand and walk out. These wolves were only a half hour north of Toronto. Brian, if they get too close, pop 'em. Don't take any chances.

60 F ??? That's bathwater for us canucks Glen. Might be a tad chilly for a guy who goes shirtless most of the year though.

I'm sure you meant 410 south to 401 west.

I'd love to see AC/DC, but didn't get tickets before they sold out. Hope they add a second show. If anyone has a ticket that's not spoken for yet, I'll take it.

You should listen to Rizzo. He's able to hook the same ski in the same spot, three weeks in a row and release it without having to put it in a net, in the boat or even use pliers. Now that's talent. Sorry Rizzo. I'm still thinking about your adventure and couldn't resist taking another jab. Definitely a good time of year for ski fishing. $500/4people. 125$ each doesn't seem too bad. Should be a good time. Don't forget to post and get some pics for us too. Good luck lunker777 !!!

ROOKIES !!! I just had a good chuckle after reading your post. Just imagine how hard the ski is laughing? The fish is obviously comfy in that spot. Must be lots of food around. Probably waiting for some more anglers to come by and throw food at it.

I haven't looked in a quite while, but I know they did carry them the last time I was checking. I'll have to take a good peek the next time I'm in there. If I find them, I'll let you know. Not sure, but can't you just insert a new 'O' ring at the end of the fuel line? I had a fuel/air leak problem with my Evinrude 35hp. It was missing the rubber ring at the engine fuel fitting, where the fuel line connects. I just bought an assortment of 'O' rings and slipped on the right size to make a good seal with the fuel line. Problem solved and it only cost me a couple of dollars.
