  1. Thanks Jen I'm a regular facebook user and will definitely add the group. cheers
  2. Dalton needs to go.....far away.
  3. In my opinion, they should move the show to another city. If Mayor David Miller doesn't want our business, take it elsewhere. Give him a good slap across that silly mug of his. There is no ammunition on site at the show. Only properly licenced individuals can purchase firearms anyway. You won't see punks bent on armed crimes purchasing guns at the show, or any other reputable gun shop for that matter. Miller's ban on guns is just a puff of smoke in peoples faces. He can't control illegal gun play in the city, so the only recourse is to target law abiding gun owners and shooting clubs. Since his gun ban, I'm pretty sure the shootings have increased. IDIOTS !!!
  4. Excellent Tony !!! Good shooting.
  5. Couldn't get a hold of the storage place on the 5th. We stored it with an operator on the fourth line in Lefroy. Tracker, you have a message re:storage info.
  6. Thanks Mo, but it looks like we may have a spot on the 5th Line for now.
  7. Excellent !!!
  8. Thanks for the offer Rick. Maybe just a wee bit too far. If you were close to L. Simcoe, it would be a no brainer. We're trying to get in touch with another hut operator in the area, but haven't heard anything yet. cheers
  9. Thanks for the responses guys. It's an 8 x 8 clad in aluminum Brian. It was $120/year at the last place. That included putting the hut on the ice and taking it off at seasons end. I think my uncle may have talked to the guy who stores them on the 5th Line. Waiting to hear back from him. Any more info/help ???
  10. We're having trouble finding a place to store our ice hut for the off season. Our operator in Oro closed down his business and we had to get it off his property. We brought it down to Innisfil from Oro, because a hut operator in Innisfil said he had room for it. Now, as the season is ending, he tells us he can't store it and we're left scrambling to find a place. We may be going up there in the next few days to put it on a trailer and move it....but where? Currently it's on Lake Simcoe at the 9th Line, Innisfil, ON. (Next line north of Innisfil Beach Road) We prefer to keep it as close to the lake as possible in the same area, but may consider other options. If anyone has space on their lot or knows someone with a farm who may be able to help, please let me know asap. We'll gladly pay a reasonable storage fee. Thanks
  11. If she's admitting to a couple of these a day, you can bet it's usually more. I think you can easily up that total to $300+. ..........and don't forget to add the cost of fuel if she has to drive there. +$+$+$+$+$.......... I don't get it !!! Is it really this easy to get people to part with their money ?
  12. Oooooooo!!! Aaaaaaaah !!! Mmmmmmmmm!!! Wow, that looks good. Makes me want to start up the bbq and get some meat sizzling on the grill. Heck, 4 quarter pound burgers is nothing. If I get hungry after dinner, I may pick up a couple of 1/2 pound burritos as a snack. When I was younger I used to order 2 foot long subs with double meat at lunch and still eat a full 4 or 5 course dinner. Working with a couple of guys years ago and one day and we decided to go for a burger special at a well known fast food chain. They ordered 2 double burgers each. I ordered 4 for myself. They had to cut their second burgers in half and give them to me because it was too much. So, I finished 5 double burgers in total, without any hesitation, in about the same amount of time it took them to eat 1 and a half. At a popular all you can eat Chinese food restaurant, some of my former co-workers and I basically had the bill shoved at us to try and get rid of us. We sent the bill back twice, reminding the waitress it was an all you can eat buffet and we hadn't eaten all we can yet. I think I went through 5 full plates of food (mostly meat) before I started to slow down and have my salads, deserts. Can't eat half of what I used to, but, I could give it a try if it means keeping those lovely ladies employed.........
  13. 2007 Ford Escape 3.0 litre, V6 Pulls the 14 and 16 foot aluminum boats I use with no problem. Also tows my 5 1/2 x 10 foot (3500 lb. axle) utility trailer with no issues.
  14. We were out Saturday (Jan 31) putting the hut out from the 9th line, (next bunch of huts north of where you were fishing) Lots of snow, but no slush. Only passed one small slush spot, but it was already frozen. Drove my truck with the hut in tow right over it. No problem. I guess the warmer weather on Sunday didn't help, but when the colder temps.return, everything should freeze up and make it easier to get around.
  15. Sad news indeed. My condolences Lew.
  16. That's great news Raf. Bad news for the fish. I can just imagine the excuses: - ....."but honey, it wouldn't be nice to let Raf go fishing by himself." - "Oh, by the way, Raf asked me to give him a hand at the lake this weekend." - Saturday....um...well....I'm kinda busy. Raf has some new equipment and asked me to help him figure out how to use it." - Raf was all set to go fishing this weekend, but he's having problems with the car. Let me know if you need any help with the move-in. I have trailers/mini vans, etc. Sending you a pm with my cell # bud. I didn't get back to you quick enough about the Wii availability in my area Big Cliff. Glad to hear it all worked out and you got your Wii. Enjoy it! cheers
  17. Welcome to our OFC Community Leeworthy. I see this is your first post We all try and help each other here, but it might be a good idea to introduce yourself if you're new to the board. There can be current that's not visible creating soft/weak spots in the ice. It can be dangerous if you don't keep up to date with ice conditions. My suggestion would be to watch for other anglers and/or hut operators. Talk to them about ice conditions and best places to put your hut before transporting it out there. Almost forgot. Try using small spoons like a Swedish Pimple, tipped with a minnow or plain, jigged near bottom. Jigheads with minnows or soft plastics should work good too. Bounce them off the bottom very slowly. Good luck !
  18. I live @ Brittania & Mavis in Mississauga Cliff. We have EB Games, Best Buy and Future Shop @ this intersection. I'll check them out & get back to you.
  19. Hey TJ, I almost didn't recognize you in the new shirt.
  20. Excellent report and pics Joey. I knew you would have a good time with Wayne and Leah hosting. Catching fish is just a bonus.
  21. More culling. More culling. More culing. Oh, and I almost forgot to mention.......MORE CULLING !!!
  22. Oooops!!!
  23. When was the last time anyone got up off the sofa and walk to the T.V. to change the channel. Yeah, we're all guilty of being lazy at one time or another. If it means cheaper vehicles, I would settle for manual locks, windows, mirrors, etc.
  24. Hey !!! Should I be offended Joey ? Some won't eat animals at all, but will spend $$ to eat mushrooms that are grown on a pile of animal manure. You too !!!
  25. SWEET !!! Literally. Nice delicate, white, sweet, tasty meat on those little critters.
