  1. I don't have ipilot, just co-pilot on my MK. I can only imagine how nice the ipilot would be! Copilot itself is fantastic. The IP must be a mind blower LOL!
  2. Hush now, it's obvious you don't know everything..... Like the people who know everything. Not naming any names... LOL. Nice fish!
  3. Most likely problem is the tank or line.
  4. I'm with you. I don't fish weekends at all now. Last time I did the amount of boats at the launch blew my mind.
  5. I'm loving it! Best summer ever so far!
  6. New customer. I had just dumped Rogers for everything including my cell phones. I called Ma Bell to order a landline (wife's insistence) and was going with teksavvy for internet and was going to use the internet for television etc. Bell came up with a deal for 2 years that I couldn't beat and included unlimited internet. They tried to screw me about 4 months into it ( of course) but I had written everything down including names of those I had talked to etc. in anticipation of that (dealt with Rogers and bell way to many times in the past) and they had no choice but to honour the deal.
  7. I have unlimited internet through a promotion I got with bell. We love netflix, great for the kids and we watch occasional movies etc. We watch a few series on solar movie as well. I can't imagine 30G would do.
  8. Absolutely, and it needs to be stopped! I don't think anyone has a problem with natives feeding themselves or their family's from the resources. Raping resources for cash under the guise of traditional harvest is an entirely different matter, and it needs to be stopped now!
  9. I don't find mine to be a dog at all. 25mph by myself is about all I want to do. I'm not sure what peoples expectations are for 20hp motors? A 15hp in good running condition will do about 18mph give or take with 2 fat boys and a days worth of tackle and a cooler in most deep hull 14 foot boats with no woodwork. I think obtaining 23-24 with 2 guys and a load plus some decking is pretty good for a 20. I don't know how much more you can get out of a 20 without modifying it. Anyway, that's a bit off topic, but I don't think low HP Yamahas are suffering performance wise by any stretch.
  10. Fair enough pal, I just noticed it and passed on the info. I'm not buying myself, and didn't look into the fine details!
  11. FYI canadian tire has the NOCO chargers on sale this week. $92 for the 2 bank charger. About the same as buying it down south with shipping and exchange rate, plus you can have it in your hand.
  12. I have very deep 14 with a yamaha 20. I can plane out with my family of 4 and a 30lb dog and I do have removable floors, a bow deck and trolling motor in front with battery. I do about 21-22mph with them in the boat, the same with 2 kids out on a tube and me and wife in boat: With myself and fishing gear I get about 25mph and with a buddy I can get 23. All GPS speeds. Weight distribution? I'm not sure what to say, perhaps as suggested try a different pitch prop. I don't have issues planing with my setup and it sounds similar to yours, but you probably have a bit more woodwork.
  13. I am sure that the Frogg Toggs are great I have heard nothing but positives, but I prefer Goretex material for rain gear. I have taken a chance and ordered the pro-lite jacket. Hopefully it is as reliable as my proqualifier bibs, but a little lighter!
  14. Looking for some lightweight rain gear. Does anyone own this particular jacket? I have pro qualifier bibs, and they are great, but I am looking to replace an aging browning goretex jacket, and searching for something a little lighter weight than the pro-qualifier stuff. I am wondering if anyone has any first hand experience with either this jacket, or the previous generations of lightweight goretex BPS jackets. How have they held up? My current jacket is about 13 or 14 years old and has had it due to daily wear and many fishing trips. Only trouble I've ever had is it can be a touch heavy sometimes! Thanks!
  15. Nice! I just did the same thing, week at our family cottage! The 6am-9am fish is pretty well the only time you get to yourself with the kids there. The rest is all tubing , lol! I never in my life thought I would go on a family vacation only to be setting the alarm at 5:30am every day!
  16. X85 was a fine unit, I used one for quite some time. IMHO, color is a whole new world though! Enjoy your sonar, it will do just fine!
  17. There is no way short of you having engraved the items, to prove that the rod and reel is yours. If you believe this lifelong friend could steal from you, and did steal from you then move on and don't associate with him. Accusing him may make waves with other involved friends and cause you more harm than good. If you really aren't sure, and believe you could be mistaken, then give him a pass and assume that he is ignorant and mistaken, and ended up with your items inadvertently and truly believes they are his. Or maybe he bought them. Life is short, and $180, while a decent sum, isn't worth going to war over. Either cut him off or move on from It!
  18. Original powerpro is relatively inexpensive for braid and works excellent. No need to change for me. I did pick up a spool, then put it back and bought the regular, by the sounds of it I'm glad I did!
  19. One better than another... Bass guys... LOL. When I do use spinnerbaits I find both smallmouth and largemouth will eat the cheapest 3 for $10 spinnerbaits no problem! Further, I prefer the closed loop style so my line doesn't slide. I take needle nose pliers ( the horrors) and give the open loop style a twist and presto, closed loop! Not pretty, but the spinnerbait is just as effective as before! Keep it simple!
  20. Wow, that was a heck of a place wasn't it!!
  21. Loki nets are an excellent alternative!
  22. I too am a lefty, and all my casting rigs are left handed. That said, I also use the Accudepth 17, for the above mentioned reasons. I am either checking a line, or reeling in a fish. Its not like a casting rig that you are tossing all day, so the RH retrieve isn't that big a deal! For a primarily trolling rig, I wouldn't be without a line counter. Yes you can count passes, or count colours on specific types of line, but nothing beats a counter for ease of use! Just a thought.
  23. I went, and while it is not a US Cabelas, they did have lots of the Cabelas brand products, and items that you could previously only get by ordering. My opinion is its a winner! Not quite the same as the full experience, but a pretty good sampling of the good stuff! I'm glad to have them, even though its a long drive. Picked up a couple of good bargain cave items, and a couple of regular priced ones as well. I will definately stop in again when I'm fishing in the area!
  24. love the shotgun pic! Camp is pretty cool too!
  25. Who are you trying to kid...... LOL!!! Both nice fish!!
