  1. Sure man cool,
  2. Not everyone wants to live in a bubble. If you get one, put up a review please. I'm looking to replace my ancient buoy o buoy as well.
  3. Psh... Of course it is. Magna Carta, without prejudice. Look it up brah!!
  4. Hit walleye central in the electronics section, you'll get all the info you need. There are a pile of lowrance/ xi5 owners there. If it can be done, someone there will have done it.
  5. It will cost you nothing other than your time to go see a prosecutor , and see what they offer. Most courts offer early resolution, and even those that don't will offer you a deal on trial date to reduce the burden of trials on the court. It is highly unlikely that they won't accept a plea. You do not need the services of an agent to do this.
  6. Looks good! Nice work.
  7. Incorrect. You are confusing a right to bear arms in a constitution with your basic human right of self defence . In Canada you have the right to use as much force as. " reasonably" nessecary to protect your life or the lives of others ie: your family. There is no table provided as to what is reasonable. It may be reasonable to punch someone out, it may be reasonable to hit them with a bat. It may be reasonable to shoot them multiple times with a shotgun dependant on the circumstances. Ultimately if the reasonability isn't clear, the courts will ultimately decide. In some states they have things like castle doctrine etc . But that again is different than a constitutional right to keep and bear arms. Their constitution doesn't give them the right to shoot people for car theft .
  8. I regard my benefit package as one of the single biggest benefits of my employment. Between prescriptions for wife and kids, dental and eyewear etc, it would add up. But god forbid our situation changed and I had something come up as was mentioned above , and it would eventually bankrupt me. I have a friend who's wife recently became very ill and had retired with no post retirement benefits. He is very glad for his benefits as the meds she needs are outrageously expensive. I'd keep paying and consider it money well spent personally. You never know what the future will bring.
  9. That's pretty cool, congrats!
  10. I guess it depends a lot on your drill. With 8-10 inches of ice I can get about 18 holes with a 1.5AH battery, and 25 or so with a 2.0AH battery. It probably has something to do with how new your batteries are as well I'm sure. I'm bet with the 5.0ah battery I could get a ton of holes , but I have no intention because we have a gas auger. I bought my drill for around the house, the auger thing is just a side benefit.
  11. I got my standard M18 in a kit with 3 batteries and an impact driver for $180 plus tax. It's not a fuel, but it cuts through ice easily with 6 inch auger. And I use it around the house all the time. I'm sure the fuel is nice, and probably is needed if you want to use an 8 inch. But for a 6 I wouldn't bother.
  12. See if they have early resolution, set an appointment with the prosecutor and see what they offer you. Most often you can plead out on your own without paying a paralegal. Most of them are mopes anyway. If you don't like the deal the prosecutor offers you, tell them you need to retain council and get a paralegal.
  13. I just have a standard Milwaukee M18 compact and it cuts like gangbusters with a 6 inch cheapo shaver auger. I'm going to fabricate an adapter for my nils master and I think it will be amazing. I imagine the fuel would be something else. Still like the fact that we have a gasser. Last winter we buried it to the powerhead several times.
  14. 3 things. A quick release plate is money well spent, I agree that you should get an onboard charger and a 100 foot extension, and princess auto currently has 6 gauge booster cables in 16 foot lengths on sale for $15, that should work for cable extensions. Otherwise I don't know much about pontoons and how you'd best set it up for a trolling motor.
  15. You won't get any flack from this gun guy. On the face of it, a simple call to the police would have been the right choice. Yes it sucks to have your property stolen, but we have insurance for that. It doesn't sound like this thief was breaking down the front door of the house with a rusty pickaxe screaming I'll kill you. If that where the case it's a fair shoot in my mind, but I'm not killing anyone over my truck.
  16. Bush sleds and ice fishing machines should be LT fans in my opinion. I don't think you could go wrong with that choice.
  17. Last minute trips are often the best. Less time for Murphy to catch up with you! Nice haul, and probably best that you got out when you did.
  18. Not really my neck of the woods, but why not. The more access the better!
  19. Ice is real sketchy and variable this year. I'm pretty close to not even bothering with the sled or bike this winter. There are a few spots its safe to do so.... for the most part. But not many. Unfortunately a lot of the sledheads just see tracks and go. Hopefully they find the body soon for the families sake.
  20. My buddy got one last summer. He isn't what I'd call a tech wizard by any stretch and he seemed to have no problems. Your mileage may vary.
  21. Buy yourself a large high quality tent. I camp with 2 of my boys, the little one is to young yet. I'd rather have a comfortable boat to fish out of. As mentioned above, get some good inflatable air mattresses and it's as comfortable as can be! I like the pop ups campers but I'd rather not have to fish out of a car topper. Don't cheap out on the tent though, nothing worse than a cheapo tent when the rain is pouring down.
  22. They have a chip now that you can go online to navionics and download whatever areas you want up to I believe 4 gigs. It includes a year subscription so you can modify your choices to figure out what works best for you, as well as get current updates. That's the way I'd go if I was buying now. As it stands I have hotmaps and gold and carry 2 cards, but don't need everything that is on both cards. I have a raymarine with chirp. I'm pretty satisfied with it, but I don't really have much to compare it to other than my old lower end humminbird (which was still pretty good). I don't think the chirp hurts anything, but if your looking at new I'd wait for the new lowrance elite 7ti. It should retail around $1100 and have side and down imaging, GPS, touch screen and chirp sonar. If you don't want side imaging it will be a little less with just a standard chirp transducer. If I "find" a grand this summer somehow, I might get one just for side imaging. Good luck.
  23. Right, that's quite possible but I read your post further and you say you have Mudlites on the rear. I don't know that they'd be stock, but they did put Mudlites on the big bears at one point so who knows. Good luck with it!
  24. Disregard, I was going to say it sounds like stock rubber, but I see you have Mudlites on the rear. Put some Mudlites on the front and be done. Or leave it as is. It won't give you much more clearance just to size up in tire. Mudlites are pretty decent in the snow as it is.
  25. Better to go to Beaverton. No tickets and good fishing. Georgina can kiss my $&@", I won't launch to hunt, fish or icefish out of there again, and that's after being a south end simcoe guy for 25 years. It's bad enough with the parking situation, but now they want $16 to launch your boat at launches that are dirt, unmaintained, weed choked, and had been free for as long as I can remember. I could see it if they charged $5 or so, but $16 for a garbage launch is crooked . They can go pound!
