Right, that's quite possible but I read your post further and you say you have Mudlites on the rear. I don't know that they'd be stock, but they did put Mudlites on the big bears at one point so who knows. Good luck with it!
-
Disregard, I was going to say it sounds like stock rubber, but I see you have Mudlites on the rear. Put some Mudlites on the front and be done. Or leave it as is. It won't give you much more clearance just to size up in tire. Mudlites are pretty decent in the snow as it is.

Better to go to Beaverton. No tickets and good fishing. Georgina can kiss my $&@", I won't launch to hunt, fish or icefish out of there again, and that's after being a south end simcoe guy for 25 years. It's bad enough with the parking situation, but now they want $16 to launch your boat at launches that are dirt, unmaintained, weed choked, and had been free for as long as I can remember. I could see it if they charged $5 or so, but $16 for a garbage launch is crooked . They can go pound!

We leave detectors in our hunt camp all winter. Just remove the battery when you leave the hut. We've been doing this for years now with no issues.

Mudlites , good all round tire.

If you go out on Guelph lake you are trespassing. They no longer rent huts and no longer "allow" ice fishing. Not to say people don't do it, and I'm not sure how strictly its enforced, but you should be aware before you head out.

I stopped watching fishing shows because of all the product pumping. Got to the point that there where more ads than content. I'd go fishing with that dude any day. I'll have to check out the new episodes.

Yeah I don't get all these stories of cheap covers falling apart after a year. I bought a cover for $100 from bass pro that had a 4 year warranty if you'll believe it. It outlasted it's warranty, and I towed with it, left it outside etc. The custom covers are great, the used boat I bought came with one. But I still throw a cheap cover that I bought for $25 on clearance at princess auto over top, I've had that cover on 2 boats over 3 years now and it's still in good condition. My boats are stored outside 24/7. I must be incredibly lucky. I do agree that $500 is pretty reasonable for a dealer cover though.

Absolutely. I used to hate the Atlantic program. I've come to realize it's just a smoke and mirrors show to improve steelhead production and habitat. They've benefitted from the "return the mighty Atlantic" nonsense. So as a steelheader at heart, I'm all for it now! Took many years before I caught on lol. Bring on the Atlantic program on the ganny!!! They are going to waste money on something, so the ganny might as well get a new counter and some trees planted.

You wouldn't pay $80 for a fishing rod? I have rods that cost me $30 on sale, and I have one rod that Spiel wrapped that cost me round about a grand, and many in between those ranges. The $30 rods probably see more time on the water. Custom covers are nice my latest aquisition came with one, but I've had no problems with the cheapos in the past either. To each their own.

Check your local canadian tire. Mine has a bunch on clearance for anywhere between $80-175. They looked to be mainly atwoods.

Yes I had a champion on my old arctic cat. The winch worked way better than the bike did. The weak point is the controller. My buddy has used a champion for plowing on his bike for years now, and it's held up. He has had to replace the controller multiple times though. I think he finally bought a warn mini switch and mounted it on the bars instead of the champion controls. I'd buy one again, but when I bought my yamaha it came with a warn winch. As for the synthetic winch line, I'll probably eventually replace my cable with it, but it's definately not a must have.

That's about the nicest fish hut I've ever seen!

Those are some pretty great fish!!

Kingsway tackle in Guelph on Woodlawn, or natural sports in kitchener also carry live bait if your headed north.
-
It catches fish and does all I need it to do, motor runs like a top and hull doesn't leak a drop. You can't ask for much more than that!! I have to replace one piece of deck due to some rot, but that's a minor issue. Otherwise, it's just about what you'd expect from a Lund with a Honda lol. How's the new rig?
-
That's a lot of boats. With the dollar falling, the past few years where the best time to buy new. I thought long and hard about it, and decided to buy an older used rig. At least I don't have payments!
-
You know I was thinking about it, I don't think I've ever seen this dude post in a fishing thread.

Race was never mentioned. Further, you don't have to be a white Canadian to get hooped by the system. The wind is blowing really hard in here.

Don't let the door hit you on the way out.

Not unless you want to own contractor grade tools for personal use. I like quality stuff, so my tools are pretty decent, but I saw no need for brushless. I have the 550 in lb Milwaukee, but only to spin a 6 inch auger. We have a gasser for anything greater than a foot of ice. I wouldn't even bother with an auger adapter if I didn't already own decent tools.

Looking for a good website for used fire arms

CGN is the place you want to go. You'll have to register and apply for access to the equipment exchange. Watch the prices carefully. As anywhere, there are some great deals to be had, but sometimes guys ask ridiculous sums. There is a trader rating system in place, and most guys are very good to deal with, although some people won't deal with someone with no trader rating. Have fun. -
My snowblower is still in the shed. Can't work up the energy to haul it down with what little winter we've had. Ice gear still buried under a mountain of crap.

Thank you to whoever dropped some food off at our house.
