  1. Youth model OK. Must have 3 inch chamber and a vent rib. Fixed or removable chokes ok. Send PM if you have what i'm after. Thanks!
  2. 90 over, and you got jammed for an expired plate. I hope you bought a lottery ticket.
  3. Your going to have a tough time finding something reliable and sizeable enough for that dollar figure right now. I’m not saying it’s impossible, but it’s going to be tough and I think your going to be looking at boats much older than 15 years. Maybe in a few months if the economy doesn’t improve, people don’t go back to work then folks might start selling recreational items to support things that really matter like food/ housing then you might see some corona deals. At the moment though I think your going to have to wait. A guy I work with is holding out on buying a house right now as he’s hoping for a fall deal. Sounds vulture like, but it’s just sad reality. I may buy another new truck sometime in the next year if the prices drop like they did after 2008. If you can, I’d hang on!
  4. I had a friend with a similar style legend and a 25 four stroke. He had it 2 seasons and moved it on. He’s not a speed demon by any means, I just don’t think he found it to be a performance wizard. I agree a boat with that kind of decking needs a 40.
  5. Why not mount them into the deck right beside the gunnel? Should work.
  6. Sail is ok. Staff are much friendlier than old Lebarons and selection is pretty good for a box store. I generally shop there for hunting gear and electronics (my guy doesn’t sell electronics). I only buy tackle from a small shop down in Guelph called Kingsway tackle if I can help it. He doesn’t have everything but he’s always been able to get what I wanted within a week or less, and is pretty competitive with other stores, even though I’d pay a bit of a premium. I won’t spend money elsewhere unless I have no choice and he has pretty much stood behind everything he sells. But yeah not all stores or store owners are created equal and I’ve been in some poorly run tackle shacks.
  7. LOL, hilarious. We’ve seen maybe 6 boats on the lake this weekend and fished a dam by a lock on our own last night. Unheard of!
  8. Don’t do it. Don’t bother telling them. I give up. Let them believe it and stay home. It has been an incredibly quiet weekend in the kawarthas. To be honest I hope this keeps up all summer. I’m done telling them, there actually couldn’t be a better situation. Maybe higher water levels but otherwise mint!
  9. #%€%+*#~ NO. I’m ready for some warmer weather. Woke up early and we had 3 inches of snow. Went back to bed.
  10. I use 5, 6 and 7 colour the most all in 15lb test. But my 10 colour is 27lb and goes out on every Lake O trip. Do you want to use planer boards? If so I’d split the cores and the run a 3 colour and a 7. 3 for your target depth and 7 for everywhere else deeper. My 5 and 7’s have beat the Lake Erie pickerel population pretty badly. If your just looking for clean off the back then spool the works on top of some 30 or 40lb braid and your backing will last forever. Hold tight, I catch a ton of fish on lead!
  11. I’ll take a look, rods and reels probably not, I may have some flashers etc.
  12. Some are, but Canada is different than the USA. It takes a lot to get Canadians fighting mad and it hasn’t got to that point. If it drags on a lot longer it will happen more and more.
  13. Mine is about the same vintage. I’m thinking about replacing it shortly. I don’t run ethanol fuel but the rubber is starting to look a little bit sketchy. It can’t hurt. I’m going to get replacement line from my local marina though, not that junk from Canadian tire.
  14. I bought a ton of beautiful crawlers in Amherstburg last week, they had coolers full. Cheap like Borscht too. Let’s hope that remains the same.
  15. I was just wondering why you’d go all the way to BOQ when there was better crappie much closer, that’s all. I thought you where from SW ont, but it all makes sense now! Have fun.
  16. The knots are becoming my downfall. Half of my knots these days end in curled line and a missing hook lol. I really have to squint and pay attention to what I’m doing!
  17. Nice fly’s. We had a huge midge hatch yesterday, get your magnifying glass out lol
  18. Pal, go out and do some exploring. The pandemic police are in full force on websites and Facebook. Anyone who knows isn’t going to tell because Karen will call it in. Anyone that doesn’t will need to do their own groundwork or have a good buddy network already in place.
  19. Absolutely, take the lesser ticket every time. The man knows what he’s talking about. You’d better put a chain across your ramp....
  20. I did it, it wasn’t for me. I have a 14 footer on a trailer with a set of beach wheels for early season and tough to launch locations. Boat is light enough that I can take the outboard off and drag it down an embankment if I need to fish.
  21. Hell even I’m ok with this it’s a nightmare under ideal conditions!
  22. The new Tekotas are a smaller profile than the old style and a bit lighter. I have 4 of the new style and I’m running 500’s for my light rigger rods and my braid dipsys . If I wanted to run a significant amount of 100lb test or whatever it is that you musky guys are into I’d buy the 600’s for line capacity. The new ones are nice reels, but I have a bunch of the old ones and they are not leaps and bounds above the old style imho. If you could find a good used 5/600 Tekota you’d be laughing. You can sometimes find them on spoonpullers.
