  1. It's certainly not gonna be around here (Kawarthas). Whatever little bit of shoreline ice we had building since the weekend just got wiped out overnight with the rain and warm wind. It's not looking good for the next while either: Peterborough 14 day forecast
  2. Good to see you're keeping an open mind...
  3. I hope you didn't play that combo on your ProLine ticket.
  4. Even more disturbing... My link
  5. It's on again on Thursday at 8pm.
  6. You should go see a doctor...
  7. I blame my connection speed...damn Bell
  8. So you actually got to meet her?
  9. That's one cute pup...enjoy!
  10. I would scrub it manually with soap and water, rinse with the hose or in the shower, hang to dry. Mechanical action in the washer won't do the seams any good.
  11. I wouldn't go any shorter, 7' in a medium action is a very versatile spinning rod. You can throw lotsa different baits with that. What particular rod you buy, really depends on what kinda coin you wanna spend, what brand you prefer. Can't go wrong with a Compre in my opinion.
  12. ...or the real life version...
  13. Always room for a good garage in the area, will you be a full service shop?
  14. I got the same hut at Costco a couple of years ago, no complaints.
  15. Oh my god, what a beast. I see mischief written all over his face. Sits nice though. How about Broody.
  16. I'm a wimp...the boat has been put away for the better part of a month now...and really didn't leave the dock much for the month before that. I did do a lot of dock fishing in the evenings up til the 15th when the pickerel season closed. It was more of an excuse to drink beer and excersize the dog, mostly small perch, bass and the occasional catfish. Now I'm just waiting for the ice.
  17. ...and we all know that's not true...
  18. We've been using a similar, but much lighter rig for winter panfish on the Kawarthas. Light jig on the bottom with a drop-shot hook with minnow 12" to 18" up the line. Even get the occasional double header on one rod. Nice bass, BTW.
  19. If that's your first video, Ben, bring some more on. That was entertaining as hell.
  20. Have we really come to this? We can't make a deal, man to man, to get a door fixed? On a beater no less? Why do police and insurance need to get involved? Talk to the man and see if he'll pay to fix it to your satisfaction. If not, then make the call.
  21. Although not smallies, and out of season to boot. With the new Kawartha winter panfish season, we have caught a surprising number of good sized largies the last couple years. Best one had to be over 5lbs caught by my buddy on Buckhorn (sorry for the OOS pic), he's almost 300lbs, so the fish looks a bit smaller: We certainly have never been targetting them, but they don't seem to be shy of a panfish bait.
  22. I thought Matty was the only one...
  23. Why???
  24. Last year, Christmas Day was our first venture onto the ice on Buckhorn, walking of course. Musta been about 2 weeks after that we were driving on Chemong. It doesn't take long once we get a stretch of cold weather.
