  1. I can remember putting the hut out on Cook Bay before the Xmas holidays back in the '80s. Ice came earlier and went earlier. Remember sitting in the boat a number of times at the Perch fest in T shirt and shorts.
  2. 16 years ago I was working New Years eve and everyone was hanging around the computers waiting for the smoke genie to appear at the stroke of midnight. What a letdown.
  3. Unless it's an infrequent activity, get the right tool to do the job. You could pound a 6 inch spike with a tack hammer but you would get pretty tired after 2 spikes.
  4. Take a look here, lots of choices. https://radioworld.ca/handheld/z-gps-han-han
  5. Well being a grumpy day out there and the hydro meter is still on the low rate, made 3 dozen cardamom cookies and a dozen real yeast powered cinnamon rolls. Wife gave after taste test.
  6. Otter by a long mile. I've had one for a number of years, nothing broken. A family member has one he got from me, it's still going strong. Never had an issue with the square poles.
  7. And the best of health to all. The Golden Age is a misnomer, it should be called the Rusty Age, creaky, broken and falling apart.
  8. Pre cooked fried chicken livers with bacon, onion and fried potatoes. Just re heat over the buddy heater.
  9. I've saw a video somewhere that a mechanically inclined guy used a cheat trailer winch on each side to raise/lower the rear leaf spring point, so yes, most of the parts could be found or McGuyvered from PA parts.
  10. All sorts of these thing south of the border, some home made, some manufactured. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4mrqQ5Rgw1c
  11. Not talking about those that use it for medical reasons, but for those who use it "to get wasted". You have the choice whether or not to use the stuff, your call.
  12. Humbug, maybe the chief should enforce his own rules better for those that scoff at them.
  13. Well said. As for the ATV tire repair, depends where the puncture is whether it can be fixed or needs to be replaced. A tube is an option.
  14. 1972 Bug, was my first car. $2450. Best winter car before FWD.
  15. Congratulations, that's a long and winding road you've traveled.
  16. $153 a year PL/PD fire and theft. 2009 Grizzly 550.
  17. Well what do you expect from this brand of government.
  18. Whoa, then why is the water jet warm after the motor has been running a while.
  19. Not everyone buys what you want. I check prices on line and if I don't have to venture to BP or Sail which costs gas and time, I'll buy at Cabelas. I've bought some of my camping gear, fishing and hunting stuff and I'm quite satisfied. Only ever once had to return a defective item that I can't blame them for. Even had them give me the sale price a week after it was over, I'm satisfied.
