  1. Well I have to disagree Wayne, my last boat battery was just traded in at 13 years, my RV battery is 9 years old and ATV 7. All 3 are hooked up full time off season to maintainers that put out about 1 - 1.5 amps when needed. Never had to add any water.
  2. Johnson Controls, Exide, Deka, Trojan, Rolls Surette, just to name a few.
  3. Pretty smart wife, I wouldn't give you $5 towards and etec.
  4. 200amp RC(reserve capacity) is pretty high so I would take an educated stab and say its a deep cycle. Adding another battery in parallel would virtually double the run time, depending on how hard and long you use the trolling motor.
  5. Ya, last day for the georgian derby, sure is a nice day.

  7. Beyond life expectancy by a wide margin. It doesn't owe me jack squat.
  8. I got absolutely nothing, went east, west, south to Grape Is, up to the north side boat docks, shallow, deep. You can still see down about 16 ft, nothing.
  9. Well after 13 years the old faithful Exide gr 24 finally made its last couple of starts this morning. When I traded it in at Total Battery, the guy asked what I did to keep it that long. Off season it stays on a VDC maintainer, constantly. None of this once a month stuff. Treat them right and they'll last a long time.
  10. Haven't seen hide, hair(moustache) of him for a while now. Anyone know? Hope nothing has happened to him.
  11. Brings back memories for me with my boys. One loved to fish, the other play with old snowmobiles.
  12. Hahaha, been there, done that except spend 3k on musky lures.
  13. Might be a good idea to do some reading and research, check warranty too. http://www.classaction.org/goodman-amana-lawsuit
  14. Used to have a friend that would take a group of younger people and do the ditches, he regularly picked a big cargo trailer full of pop and beer cans, turned into cash for charity.
  15. Ya, haven't heard from him in a while.
  16. Honestly, most radios are all made in Hop Sings factory in china. Standard maximum output is 25 watt on high, 1 or 5 watt on low. Most radios have the SO239 standard antenna connector, some used to have the BNC. As long as your power cables are clean and not corroded, they can be reused, any amount of corrosion, replace them. If your antenna is as old as the radio, it may be a good idea to change the antenna too.
  17. Never had a problem with any of their transducer cables being pinched.
  18. Not knowing what size/amps your trolling motor takes, Princess Auto carries down to 8ga. Also the option of getting a cheap set of jumper cables at Wallymart, take the ends off and there you go. 6ga would probably be more than enough.
  19. And keep a copy of the receipt with you in the boat/tacklebox or dry box, it's your ownership. The registration is not considered ownership.
