  1. Cdn Tire uses their product, you can buy the cans called http://www.canadiantire.ca/en/pdp/rust-cure-formula-3000-0477985p.html . They also apply it along with a searchable dealership. I had mine done at Ted Shier Auto in Barrie. Two minor drips under truck, nothing lie Krown or Rust check where your driveway becomes an eco disaster. Yes DND actually did the testing.
  2. Some rustproofing such as the hard sprayed on "tar" type film is a bloody disaster. Any chips and cracks allows the winter corrosion in behinds it and then rusts off in large chunks. The wax oil type is much better. As for some auto companies do not recommend it as they have their own system. VW has a 12 year corrosion rust through warranty right from the factory. Everyone has opinions and we all know what they smell like.
  3. A better proven product is Corrosion Free. Tested by both US and CDN military, it has a much better record.https://corrosionfree.com/
  4. Some tool rental places carry them although the Honda Power sports stores and motorcycle shops have them.
  5. The easiest way to get clean power is running a quality inverter generator like a Honda EU 3000 or similar Yamaha. They have been bench/oscilloscope tested and found to be just as clean and steady as commercial hydro. If you do go the generator-battery- inverter route, do yourself a favour and get a full prosine inverter. They definitely cost more but do the job right. Having spent "some" time on RV sites, it's a frequent discussion and people find out the cheap inverters tend to burn up electronics, especially anything with electronic clocks, circuit boards and motors.
  6. Friend of mine had one of those champion gennies, after using it a short time, he hoped someone would steal it.
  7. I would highly suspect that this type of non vented heater will dramatically increase your humidity level, water vapour is a by product of burning propane or NG. I use a 40,000 btu wall vented wall mount NG heater with a small built in squirrel cage fan. Garage is 440 sq/ft detached.
  8. Big time, converted my travel trailer to LED, they only take 10% of an incandescent bulb
  9. A Honda EU 3000 or Yamaha equivalent will suit you fine. Your best option is to rent for a couple days to find out that you don't need Niagara Falls and the Adam Beck generating station.
  10. Oh, maybe some people don't know how to use a "hand knife".
  11. Driving west on #26 just short of Meaford when I heard the first broadcast.
  12. X2 or they will stick worse than gorilla glue.
  13. Lew, don't know if you have a Costco nearby, they may be a few dollars cheaper and they have the lifetime rotation and repairs included. I just had a bad dealing with Goodyear, anything other than manufacture defect, they are not warrantied without buying an extra plan. I've had Michelin on all my other trucks, I'll be junking the goodyears next spring. I believe the new Defenders are an upgrade to the LTX MS/2 series.
  14. You can get a lot of aftermarket parts that work just as well. Bearing can be had through places like Canada Bearing. Pads can be had at Royal distributing for $23. http://www.royaldistributing.com/Catalogues/Main/2016-Spring-Fall/#196/z
  15. Well if it's only a drop, then they should leave it in the big bucket. If you're anywhere near any stores, you can't help but trip over bottled water, be it Nestle, Aqua fine or X brand. It has to be one of the worst fads humans ever created. Not to mention the bloody plastic bottles all over the place.
  16. Careful shaking hands and smooching, it's out there and has a nasty grip on me.
  17. There's a distribution point west of Barrie, he has no ethanol regular. I don't use the spray Seafoam, it will only clean the throat and intake. Use the liquid stuff in the red and white can, one can per 16 gallons or about 70 litres for the initial clean up, after that, 1 oz per gal.
  18. You may have to go see a nose/throat specialist. I had the stuffed up sinuses for a long time, got into a rumble and ended up with a broken nose, got everything fixed better than new and can blow tornados out of the old snot box.
  19. Nothing but Seafoam, end of the season, the tank, the fuel line and fuel lines under the cowl get drained along with either the carbs or FI system. Had a bad experience with Stabil one year, it turned into jello at the bottom of the gerry can, never used it since and I've never had to get any of the engine fuel systems worked on. No ethanol gas is also on my list. There are a handful of stations that still have regular no ethanol available.
  20. Somewhere in the book it also mentions that you must maintain the lighting the way it was designed by the manufacturer, if it came with 2 lights, then that's the minimum. I'm too lazy right now, but I'll go the extra mile to ensure people can see the trailer in low light conditions. No point in garnering interest from a Leo or MTO.
  21. No shelf life that I've ever heard of. Some products have a no freeze warning.
  22. Kind of makes you wonder sometimes, "Dr Phil, WTH are you thinking when you wrote that piece".
