I look at it in a slightly different manner. If you held their heads under water for the same time that the "special TV hosts" hold fish out of water to garner some photos and blah, blah blah, etc, then maybe they would come to realize you're suffocating the fish. Depriving it of water to get O2 through their gills and remain in their neutral buoyant state to keep their innards in the right place. Maybe Magilla Gorilla should hold them horizontal by the jaw and see how they like it. Anyway, OOS catching and photographing seems to be an annual event and rant, something the common nitwits don't grasp.

Personal preference, I like 20 inch high transoms, an extra 5 inches of waves NOT coming in.

And if you need new ones, go to a good place like Canada Bearing and then also ask for "double lipped seals". They really prevent water intrusion.

Something that should be done every fall after the last trip to ensure there's no water in there to rust away all winter. That way you're good to go in the spring.

Great idea, made something similar with old bed rails. It keeps the portable ice hut out of the way and off limits to the mice.

The not so funny thing is that the locals (Brian et al not included) have problems with getting their Timmy cups into the garbage cans too.
